Seriously u can I’ve seen it in prison.doing them of a chair or a bunk like an incline press. But we are talking 500 pushups 1000, 1300 sometimes. And full range stretch , and fast ,fast , fast sick pumps Best upper chest real talk
Already knew this jeremy guy was pretty much a joke, I mean if you're a lifter for years you would know that jeremy's kind of physique is just a 1-2 year old kind of physique. Imagine someone who only had newbie ish gains, maybe some intermediate gains? going around teaching shit lol. Fitness youtube is really a minefield. Channels produced from people who blast gear are high on populatity, while those who are not are forced to be kept under. It's really kind of upsetting values like hard work, perseverance and consistency pales in comparison to the needle
Lord GVS spitting fax. Still the same, 3 years later, still valid.
You can have great chest if you do a lot of sets and all of the chest being failure. I am doing 8 sets per day for chest (feet up/decline normal push ups) for 4 times a week.
My pecs grew a ton. But i am an intermediate lifter. If you want the biggest chest dumbell presses are the king imo. But push ups alone can give you a good chest. Much better than the jeremys chest
Best bodyshame i ever saw
Herschel Walker says hi
The Evil Russian Push-up Program is better for chest hypertrophy than this.
Truth has been spoken
Jeremy Ethier is Walmart Jeff Nippard
Guys in prison without access to weights sometimes have very well defined chests but they are doing extremely high volume body weight exercise exercises. The rep range can be 2 to 3000 per day have.
i mean there is a way to do it with high level variations, like planche, 90 degree, handstand push-ups
but this? whatever he’s recommending isn’t it
I had a friend who had an insanely good chest, from doing only pushups, i remember thinking it was like a body builder/He-Man doll lol. But he could do something like 250-275 in one go, i watched n counted plenty of times. We were at uni together and hung out alot so i know he wasnt going gym, also he had underdeveloped biceps and back as all he did was mostly push ups, but yes it really can work.
My parents didnt let me go to the gym in highschool because it was gonna stun my growth or someshit so I bought a pullup bar and gymnastic rings and some extremely cheap weights that came with two handles for dumbells all by myself and did weighted dips and pullups. It wasn't perfect or anything but I built a decent body, so if you cant or don't want to go the gym for whatever reason, realise it is not hard or expensive to make solid gains at home. But not with that dmbfcks program obv.
His chest is comparable to those skinny dude's who barely bench press a single plate.
honestly tho, who has tried 12 sets of pushups to failure 2 times pr week ?
I started working out a month ago and have been blindly following Jeremy Ethier . My goal is to achieve a lean or aesthetic body, not a bulky physique like a bodybuilder. While I respect bodybuilders, I prefer to focus on staying lean. I have a habit of avoiding advice from bodybuilders with bulky builds because I worry that following their guidance might make me look like them. Can anyone suggest some YouTubers who align with my goals?
God thank you for noble natty community.
Ring flys seem ok if you're stuck with bodyweight training. I can see someone getting good pectorals from those.
Twig boy
To be fair, Jeremy says himself chest is an area he struggles with.
Even if geoff doesn’t always get everything right and is sometimes a bit too polarising in his opinions you can always count on him to have common sense.
I have blocked his content can't stand the guy
"I've used science"
Congratulations, you've played yourself!
I mean, I didn't even set foot in a gym for the first 8-9 years of my training, which means I did bodyweight excersises, and namely push ups for my chest
And they are rather swole, so I would say as long as your intensity and volume is on point you can make decent gains on your chest, just like you would with weights
But that's just my anecdotal and empirical two cents
Here's a tip. I know you got a backpack. Put something heavy in it, put it on, crank the straps down, and presto, external loading
This video is appealing to those who consider themselves not fit enough or not confident enough to go to the gym and that's most people. That's why the Athlene Xs and the Ethiers put the content out they do. A lot of people will look at this and think, 'oh, I can do this at home. I'll give it a watch'.
You could say that it encourages people to start their fitness journey but you could do that without the big promises.
Not a fan of the likes of Athlene X and his add 1 inch to your arms in 22 days nonsense (I added 4 inches in 3 days, so he's wrong!) or the get a massive chest with pushups Ethier style.
Dude is so skinny
You know who got built massive chest with only push ups? Inmates from prison. They swear by short range push ups which maintain tension on the chest. Perfect for hypertrophy. Check it out
Push ups are great because you can change the angle of hands and there’s more stability so it’s less biceps (tendon) and shoulder problems. Lifting legs a bit and some extra weight required. After 30kg it gets quite annoying on the back so loading is the problem. Bodyweight is not enough you want to be able to do 10-15 rep range also. For bodybuilding 5-6 reps not a must but can’t do just 30+ reps that’s too much.
weighted ring pushups are better at 10000% than the pushup😂😂😂
you HAD me @ :31… DA YUUUMMMM!… literal LOL
If you think Jeremy or even yourself are below average, who are you comparing to? Mister Olympia? You give solid advice, but you have seriously warped standards dude
Lame that you gotta bash him to get views. Corny
The chest is built with years of doing bench variations with controlled reps, a proper rep range, high intensity and progressive overload.
