The president does not have a direct influence on the economy. So he can make his directives known to Congress, the Federal reserve and the other influential institutions. Price expectations (Pe) or consumer expectations is the primary perimeter in the macroeconomic equation influencing what we expect to pay for consumer products. If we feel the prices are eventually going to go down, eventually, they will. The opposite also influences our price expectations. The economy does not react immediately to any changes in the equation. It is not a static formula, it is fluid and influenced by many extraneous parameters. The Donald has not been in office a year yet. Give him and his administration a little time, Please. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
