The kids were unnecessarily harrassing him verbally, but the adult lingered and even returned to stab them because his feelings were hurt. He had every opportunity to leave the area and that knife sure asf didnt slip into 5 people accidentally.
I was involved in a motorcycle accident where I fractured my leg, the people who were supporting me kept me awake until the paramedics arrived, And it's horrible to hear them say "His leg is broken," I can't even imagine the panic and everything that must go through your head when you hear "His intestines are out, "His whole stomach is out"

In several videos of the trial, Mr. Mui had support for self defense. I think it's his post incidebt behaviors and actions that ultimately condemned him. When the jury saw that interview and all the discrepancies and lies cause him problems. This could have been avoided so many ways!!

Charge the kids with assault and the older guy with defending himself with excessive force. Old dude is still guilty of stabbing people, but he had every reason to be afraid of these narcissistic “kids” Riley was the only person who was clearly innocent and just in the wrong place at the wrong time from what the video shows

Tbh. That man looks shocked with fear and is giving fight or flight or complete stand still response . And he chose fight. He is surrounded by over 6 people. And have an additional random group chiming in and you feel like no one is there to protect you but yourself. And he was intimated and assaulted. That assault mixed with fear triggered a reaction to protect himself. He wasn’t gonna wait to find out to be attacked after being intimated/ assaulted. He should have never walked back to them after they made comments, and just walk away. kids really need better home training. They should not be speaking to people like that either. You can’t tell someone how to react. You can’t compare people to you or your family, and you should always be kind.
I think its so messed up that they were egging him on to stab everyone!

Seriously had to skipped through multiple part sof the video even tho i love watching this types of videos, boo me bc I skipped AJ jokes.
He had every opportunity to walk away. He initiated physical interaction with them by approaching them and stayed in their area way longer than he should have. They’re kids… a group of teenage boys under the influence no less. They were acting how any typical Gen Z group of boys here in America acts….. A group of kids will make you feel small and stupid every time but they didn’t have any weapons and they didn’t physically interact until provoked. If you perceived that they were intoxicated and you note that you are outnumbered, you should have stayed very far away. Period.
Did the teens get charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct? Because surrounding a guy chanting with your arms waving at him calling him a pedofile while intoxicated and then shoving him in a river and punching and kicking him deserves at least 6 months each for every kid there. Yes the man shouldn’t have gutted them, waving the weapon in a circle might have been a better opportunity. But these kids need a lesson too rather than getting to be victims for attention showing off their scars and still calling this dude crazy after they sobered up is stupid

It really is a horrible event. One thing i was happy to see was everyone trying to help. Even a lady trying to get people to hydrate. We should all be taking care of eachother before a tragedy happens. I talk a lot of crap on the police but can't be upset with them if they were overwhelmed. They are law enforcement and only expect them to know the basics when it comes to medical. Be kind to your neighbors and support your community.

This was really traumatic to watch. I hope people learn a lesson from this – don't mess with people you don't know, don't let the fact that you are with your buddies give you a false sense of bravado. That's the problem with some people these days, they always have their head up their arses, TikTok this, TikTok that.
Without a doubt, what the guy did to them was absolutely bang out of order, insane, and evil.
But the problem is that people nowadays just don't know when to just stop something like that happening. They didn't prevent a murder, indirectly, they encouraged one. They'll always go ahead, whenever they see either a stranger who's probably asking something from them, or maybe even a student who made a blatant mistake in school, pull out their phones, and hit record until the person their recording starts physical altercations with them, suddenly they're all the victims.
Someone most certainly would've had the urge to stop that fool from ruining his life as well as taking one, by telling them to leave. Hell, those kids just could've minded their business, and none of this would ever had happened.
There was no need for that kid to be killed for what caused it to happen, but he, as well as all the other fools in that group, needed to be taught manners. Especially when you say "Everybody R*** him!", that's not a fucking joke to laugh at, especially when it's in a river that familes can go to.
