My father in-law was administered midazolam on 3rd of march 2025 without my wife’s consent at least 3-4 times along with morphine and sadly passed away on 7th march 2025 from the 4th he could not speak yet was speaking on the 3rd. Absolutely disgusting my wife wanted lorazepam as it’s clearly safer and keep patients more cogent
Believe me, our German government fucked up even more while Covid, and I’m the last one to let them go like that. But on Midazolam, I got a different opinion. This substance is being used as a sleeping pill here in Germany, and my sister got it during her depression after our fathers death. It really really helped her. It got used on me as well – instead of laughing gas at the dentist. It may be an end of life medication (also used for that in Germany), but it can be used ethically otherwise, and it’s been done so in Germany for many years. It always depends on the dose.

Governments have been pushing for keeping the care of disabled/elderly and terminal “in the community”, citing “studies” that suggested improved outcomes/quality of life when in fact it sometimes puts unbearable pressure on families. Real reason is how many billions of pounds in savings for govt. When people do finally go into hospice, it makes sense that govt would want to shorten their stay as much as possible in the name of profit. We are being led like sheep, we are farmed like livestock.

On one hand my Christian faith says our birth, life and passing are all in God's mighty hands….my human, God-given common sense tells me that we treat our pets better than we treat our fellow human beings. When true end-of-life is at hand AND the person has either told us it's time to "let go" and/or there is specific written instructions for such a time, I'd prefer a passing under the mighty influences of midazolam plus morphine. In fact, give me 10mg of morphine intravenously then add the midazolam until I am gone. I've seen people die in agony, on bathroom floors, choking, coughing, crying and worse and it's no way for either a pet nor a human being to leave this earthly realm. But I do agree it is always a slippery slope when ANY amount of subjective, human opinions are involved, hence End Of Life Documents are so, so important.

I said they were doing this to people in nursing homes in November 2020 got banned for 18 months.
I am from Croatia, we weren't treated like that during covid. So watching how Scotts,Brits, Irish, Canadians and Australians were treated seems surreal, this is horror movie stuff. And your countries always brag about freedoms and whatnot…please, I'd rather move to Iran than any of your countries.
I was watching a doco on the U.K's demographics, basically there are about 200 000 retires for every 1 000 000 tax payers in the 2030's they are projecting over 300 000 retires for every 1 000 000 tax payers…The birth rates are 1.6 per couple !!! It's the same in most countries even China…

We had 6 days notice of my dad’s terminal cancer diagnosis. I know why he had this. They prevented us from seeing him in hospital whilst he could see and talk. I then watched him being tortured for 4 days. All they used was M. No pain relief. He was in agony. Struggling breathing, but no ventilator. No monitoring vitals. No IV. I had to keep begging the staff to remove his bag which contained more blood clots than urine. No water. He desperately wanted to tell us something.

In 2020 there were massive “covid” deaths in care homes, Remdesevir (sp?) and morphine heavily used as was protocol for “covid” there were also sadly many cases of neglect in care homes where families were not allowed.
