I think it’s time for Microsoft and Sony to make Rockstar give us a refund for these issues that are making this game unplayable.
I just started trying to get an onyx jewelry thing for the 2x herbs thing that Gus has. My metal detector doesn’t do anything. So this is preventing me from using both my naturalist and collector roles fully. Might as well skip Gus. Is Rockstar doing this on purpose? Can they give us a technical explanation for why they are having so much trouble fixing these bugs?
I'm on PC & this bug is still happening for me, I'm currently Rank 96 & Rank 20(max) for my collector role, the bug started happening a few days ago for me. I have tried everything support suggested, nothing worked; I tried follow guides that worked for other players; none of them fixed my problem.
I am still in-contact with R* support to get it fixed or for them to fix it… it seems to be a bug with the ranking system breaking and not detecting your proper rank.
Mine was working just fine until last week and now I cannot use my metal detector or my shovel. Is there any solution to this problem I can handle on my own without involving rockstar.
I'm experiencing this issue on PC after recently returning to the game following a 4 month break. Metal detector not working, can't collect the collectable wildflowers, and normal dig sites (no detector needed) appear empty as if already dug up. It's a major fuck up. Changing lobby doesn't work, neither does restarting.
Has anyone found a fix or are Rockstar still ''aware of the issue'' and doing jack shit about it?
I've been trying to complete coin collection for months and missing 1, the 1972 liberty quarter and it never spawns I use the collector map online to find the locations and collect every coin every day only ever get the 1972 quarter so I keep selling them to see it the liberty will spawn in but nope

Still broke ,, some days it works and can use maps some days ( when trying to complete a pass ) it doesn’t work randomly , there was a glitch about the bald haircut and being able to save and store and outfit on your horse . If you have the bald or short hair cut your outfit blacks out

I can't use any collectors maps or find Madam Nazaar on the map, it says I'm not high enough role level, but I'm max
Yes I have had these glitches since the blood money update and I have messaged rockstar numerous times and they haven’t offered me any solutions. One customer service rep apologized and said they were aware of the issue. It fixed its self for about a day and went right back to being broken. The next customer service rep I got denied it was an issue. I’m on X Box One.
I’m on xbox1 and haven’t had any problems with my collector role!
Mine got broken mid day yesterday. now no eggs, flowers, metal detector items and shovel items. i can only collect cards and alcohol since 2 days now. rockstar support said they are fixing it. and now i see this 1month old video. Don't think this will be fixed soon. It sucks, specially in this 2* collection bonus week. Cleared cache, formatted xbox, reinstalled game, still nothing.
I have various problems with my collector role.
1. my metal detector doesn't work
2. I can't find bird eggs, wildflowers, and digging sites
3. my collector maps don't show any collectible locations (when I open one, it says you should rank up your collector while I'm rank 20)
I'm playing on Xbox one and facing these problems since yesterday when the benefits were updated.
On PC and this is frustrating
I have had this also for weeks after Bloodmoney Update and I tried to fix it by my own after writing a lot of tickets to the support….
If you play on PC, try this:
1.) Delete all files located in the "PROFIL" folder under Documents
2.) Starting the game, and before logging into Story or Online Modus enter the Social Club and under settings switch "Cloud Saving" OFF
3.) Do not logg into Story Mode or Online mode. After switching Cloud Saving off, exit the Game Menu and go back to Desktop
4.) Restating game and choose on the pop up "using my own files on the disc" (or something like that to avoid using cloud files, correct wording I forgot)
5.) Logging into Online Modus and have fun.
This few steps worked for me.
But it could be, that it will be reset after a patch, just do it again.
Yes, but my problem started only a couple of days ago, not with the Blood Money update. Same problem thought, no metal detector, no diggable spots, no wild flowers and eggs. I can only pick cards and non-diggable stuff.

I am on PC and my collector role has been busted for a month or so now. I can't use me metal detector or shovel. Wild flowers, bird eggs, and dig locations don't spawn. I can only collect cards, heirlooms, and bottles.

Still broken – seems to be impacting PC and Stadia (PC port) only
I just farm the 4 sets of cards, I can make 1k in 2 hours every day of I wanted to.
I just did the 54 playing cards on gta and can’t get my reward on rdr
The only issue I have had consistently since Blood Money came out is I am having issues with Bootlegger missions on PS4. I will kill all enemies at the road blocks, or poison stills or blow them up or whatever and then it says once again, "Kill Remaining Enemies". There is none there to kill. So stats wise, for about every 10 bootleggers I try, about 2 or 3 maybe successful. It is hit and miss. Quakers Cove tends to be the really bad one.
