  1. For the life of me someone explain to me the Iraq war vote? On one hand the intelligence community along with the Bush administration manipulated the congress that Sadaam was on his way to making a bomb. So the vote was cast across the board to address this perceived threat Now that vote along with the intelligence was wrong and she stated that it was wrong but yet it's hung around her head as if she was in charge of gathering the Intel. This is a singular topic and in no way does it excuse her from other parts of her record or stances.

  2. I think Trump could cobble together enough people to beat Hillary Clinton. Hillary doesn't excite enough Democrats and especially doesn't appeal to/excite enough Independent voters. Trump really excites the people who support him, the moderate Republicans don't care enough about racism and authoritarianism (or just don't think it will affect them), then while some Democrats will vote defensively out of fear others won't. Non-voters won't necessarily vote for Clinton, enough progressives have been so pissed off by her that they might not (I finally would vote for HRC ONLY if Trump or Carson are the nominee – otherwise I'm with Stein). I think Trump could beat Hillary. He wouldn't beat Bernie, though. We need to elect Bernie. I think O'Malley could take Trump too, for the record. He's aligned with Bernie on enough progressive issues to be a lot of people's second choice.

  3. As long as the electoral college system exists, as long as the two party stranglehold exists, as long as money remains in politics, change from within the system is highly unlikely. The only change we can make is from outside the system. BLM should be endorsing the Green Party, with a focus on local, state, and congressional politics. They shouldn't waste their time on endorsing a presidential candidate. There would be no point. Jill Stein can't win because the system is currently rigged against her, and Bernie Sanders would be neutered by the rest of the Democratic Party. The Republicans won't be the only ones who are going to stop Bernie from enacting his domestic policy. We can't change the system from the top down. We can only change it from the bottom up. With Chicago, BLM should occupy Rahm Emmanuel's office and force him out. They should then endorse a new Green mayor to take his place. If another Democrat from Chicago takes the office, nothing will change. Seattle's Kshama Sawant has proven that grassroots progressive politicians CAN WIN. If people can change the system in Seattle, we can change the system in the rest of the country as well. Yes, BLM should be political, but they should be political from outside the traditional political paradigm.

  4. Trump has exposed the moral hypocrisy of the GOP for what it is without even trying to do that. Make America Great Again seems to mean policy made ad hoc, fascist rhetoric thrown around as sport and infantile gainsaying as a matter of principle. It is also hilarious that the GOP's chief criticism of Obama in 2008 was his cult of personality and the idea of popularity over substance yet the best example of these things comes from Trump who embodies the adulation of money over all else and the desire to make the superficial seem like the same thing as substance.

  5. Totally hooked me in with "it would be good for the Republican Party to nominate Donald trump. They deserve it."
I agree. He holds a mirror up to the Republican Party and they like what they are looking at. He represents the mentality of the GOP without representing a bulk of their policies. I'm still not sold that he isn't under a false flag. I would love to see what happens if he gets the nomination, but if he's against Hillary he will win.
