Officer Tatum is the very definition of a חֲסִידֵי אֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם (ḥasidei ummot ha'olam). This term means “Righteous Amongst The Nations” or “Righteous Gentile”. It is a term used by Jews to describe a non-Jew who saves the life of, or stands up for the Jews. Often at great risk to their own life and/or wellbeing. This topic is my biggest disagreement with Officer Tatum on the topic of Israel.
We do agree the term “Anti-Semite” is toss around loosely just like many black folks toss the race card. But that it.
God didn’t give anyone anything. Man wrote books including the Bible, the Torah, the Quran..all are written by man. So who is God you are referring to? The God of Harlem? Who? Can I come and take over your house Officer Tatum because my God says it belongs to me? You understand how silly that is?
I strongly believe in war albeit it’s ugly, but it’s human nature. The British took over the Americas from the Native Americans, who took it over from other tribes before that. Nobody is disputing that the British and Russians defeated the Ottoman Empire and they claimed areas of it. The British Mandate of Palestine is theirs and they can do what they want with it. So they literally took European Jews and shipped them to Palestine and gave them their own state under the UN in 1948. There was a war fought and the Israeli Govt won. Here the issue, Israel gave back land to Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria all for peace. However, they occupied Gaza, East Jerusalem, Golan Hts, and the West Bank ever since 1967.
Israel either kill them, imprisoned them, or let them be free. So far it’s been killing them and keeping them in prison for decades. And the world turns a blind eye to it. It’s funded by US dollars.
You say they voted for Hamas, but majority of them prior to Oct 7 were not involved politically. Just like you as a Black man don’t want to be associated with Ninjas, majority of the Palestinian people don’t want to be associated with Hamas. We know this isn’t a war against Hamas, it’s a war against Palestinians and you don’t want to acknowledge that. You’ll be pissed off if someone blew up the school your kids went too all because the Govt suspected that a terrorist was present. Did it have to kill 100 people in order to get 1 or 2 bad people? That is text book of collective punishment. You would hate this as you spoke a lot about how collective punishment for towards black people due to niggary.
It really sux that you don’t know much about life in Gaza. I’m a black man from Cleveland and we have a strong Palestinian community here. I have a lot of interactions with them in my line of work as a Paramedic. All of them want to go back to Gaza, but they can’t. They are literally stateless without a passport or documents. They are here in the USA by way of refugee status. It is the same around the world. Jordan has damn near 750k Palestinians who can’t return home. Why? The Israeli Govt. Egypt has another strong number of Palestinians who are looking to return home. You’re from Texas, if you left the USA and the USA Govt told you can’t return home…what do you do? Let’s say you’re stuck in Peru, went on vacation with your family and at the end of the vacation, US customs denied your entry. Peru will keep you, give you room and board but that is not your home. You left with the notion of returning home, these Palestinians left for refugee status but denied in coming home.
This is exactly what Israel Govt wants, remove all Palestinians so they can take over Gaza. It hasn’t worked because they produce (babies) much more (which also causes social issues and poverty) but killing them and banning their return is what Israel been doing for 60 years.
This war has nothing to do with Hamas, as the conflict is much older than Hamas. It’s about making Gaza uninhabitable and using Hamas is their took of choice.
It is factual since Oct 7, Hamas support has increased greatly, but it’s part of the blowback from the Genocide Israel has conducted. Yes it’s a Genocide according to the articles of Geneva. You sent your kids to school and the Israel Govt killed them with a 2000lb bomb that vaporized the entire block. No investigation, no proof of militants, no journalists review, no international inspectors, yes you have became radicalized! From someone who wants nothing to do with Hamas to a supporter of Hamas. That’s why Israel today is a lot more dangerous than prior to Oct 7.
Maybe it’s a waste of time commenting on your video, because some people rather react to emotions than on rational. Because there is nothing to justify what Israel has done to Gaza, whatever it was, the message is lost.
