I got to watch on live TV the knuckleball legend, Phil Niekro, win his 300th game. He didn't use the knuckle for the entire game, until the last out. The batter took 2 knuckle strikes, then took one 1-1/2 swings for the third strike, and laughed about it.
Eh, looks like an ordinary slider. I want to see atomic style brownian motion on a knuckeball. For as difficult as the pitch is to throw, nothing less than Matrix-level movement would be acceptable. 🙂
Bad example of knuckleball. What makes knuckleballs seem wild to me is when you have one that is following a trajectory then stops following and proceeds to briefly follow a trajectory in the opposite direction. I think it’s wind that usually causes this but it’s wild to see
I have seen some good ones and bad ones. This is a bad one, it is just gravity with maybe an inch additional lateral movement due to deceleration and constant lateral movement. It's always been overrated but the better ones I have seen the pitcher keeps the same grip but changes the orientation of the seams in that grip or arm angle to get drift in different directions.
The narration must be for a different pitch. This looks like a text book example of projectile motion to me. I saw no darting of any kind. I HAVE seen knuckleballs that danced like Micheal Jackson all the way to the plate. This ain't one of em. Maybe that's the whole point. Get a bunch of boneheads like me to comment on the obvious. Well played, Joe. Well played……
Holy shit! It flew from his hand all the way to the target. Thank God for this pitch,. Before it was learned, batters had to run half way to the pitching mound to hit the ball before it hit the ground. Epic moment that changed baseball history. Before that new pitch, it was called HOCKEY
That is one of the easiest to hit pitches I have ever seen. No deviation left or right from the hand and a gentle downward arc, exactly according to the Laws of Physics. Gravity.
How does this deny the laws of physics?
Pitching with a catcher's glove is crazy work
Who the fucks denying it
Wtf is a knuckleball denier?

im confused, why are u using a catchers mitt to pitch with?
What’s the red catcher in the back
WTF is a knuckleball denier?
i am a firm believer in knuckleballs but this is not the clip to demonstrate them
bro just hyped up a 30mph curveball
This is stupid
I wonder if it's AI because it's not anybody that knows baseball or a knuckleball
It wasn't for lack of spin, you'd think it was a slider.
450 dead centre
As a person that doesn't know anything about baseball….what is special about what > just watched?
What’s a knuckle ball denier?

not really any movement
Broooooooo gnarly

Nobody thinks the ones that are still are more effective. What are you talking about?
Knuckleball deniers, aren’t real. They can’t hurt you.

Quite literally the least "knuckleball" knuckleball ever thrown.
Is the narrator watching the same video we are?

I'm not a denier but I don't see it darting around
What is a knuckleball denier?
It seems to comply with the laws of physics, IMHO.
That was terrible. I have that same pitch. I call it my fastball. For goodness sake, just look up Tim Wakefield.
You need a better pitcher
It knuckled but didn’t move at all. That pitch is being crushed 💯
It did not move left or right. And it fell exactly how physics said it would fall.
Holy shit!
It flew from his hand all the way to the target.
Thank God for this pitch,.

Who “denies” a knuckleball…Flat Earthers?
Hoyt Wilhelm, Wilbur Wood, Phil Niekro, Tom Candiotti? Jack Quinn long ago. Never, ever heard of anyone “denying” a knuckleball. Gyroball, sure.
This video would convince knuckleball deniers they are right.
Better yet, imagine being a knuckleball denier and never even having one thrown to you.

Is this a parody? Looks like a straightforward arc to me. lol
Good knuckleball, but it will only work if the pitcher has a decent fastball or other pitch to go with it.
Outside corner?
I might have stepped away from that.
