I know it doesn't matter, but Kairi and Sora were 14 in KH! and Riku was 15. So I Birth by Sleep they were 4 and 5 with Riku seeming wise even back then.

Pat is trying to explain how to make sense of the plot but that's the issue, you CAN'T make sense of the plot holes.
When he keeps telling Xenahort instead of Xehanort.
talks about xehanort "that's the guy who split into 2." Oh just wait. He's not done.
To be fair the best story telling in the series was done by Masaru Oka but he left after birth by sleep and in my opinion you can see a noticeable drop in story quality
43:10 Patterz, what do you not get about the plan? He's using time travel to grab versions of himself from his past. Though it's also confusing because the explanation is kinda wrong. Old xehanort is the time traveling one and terranort was brought back by the destruction of ansem and xemnas.

As much as I love these videos and as much as I love clowning on the franchise and it's story telling. A lot of it is really explained pretty well.
They tend to introduce something vaguely in 1 game with a mystery so they can expand on it with the next game. So yeah you'll be confused when you miss it, but when you don't it's really not super hard to understand (it's just a lot)
