Great movie and it should have done much better at the box office. I guess the early 2000s were the time when overuse of CG effects became the norm so a movie this stylish was not in the "spirit" of the times and possibly the new, younger audiences found it too demanding. Ten-fifteen years earlier? – we'll never know.
