I’m a recovering Catholic and a Catholic school survivor. I witnessed and endured the cruelty of nuns from grades K through 12. Priests have become pedophiles. The church is not at all what Jesus had in mind when he made Peter the first pope. The church is now a corrupt corporation with the pope being its CEO. It has a lot of blood on its hands between the inquisition and the crusades. The church rules are made by men not by God.
