Absolutely so wrong first of all your form is totally off you don't do full range of motion you're too control the weight come to a total lockout at the top and slowly lower the weight to the chest to get that negative in and not bounce It off the chest to assist with the positive upward press of the exercise if you hit plateaus that's all part of training you can either do more reps lessen the weight or add weight and do less reps but preform the exercise in full range of motion otherwise you're cheating yourself out of maximum muscle growth I'm a competitive powerlifter 💪

Dude 405 is amazing the highest i ever got up to is 365 And that was like a couple times in my life brief peak moments that i unfortunately didnt maintain but when i get to working out and lifting heavy i usually get up to 315-345 and hover around there until i focus on other stuff or take a break altogether

  3. Just FYI, most people can do around 20ish reps with 60% of their 1RM. Some maybe more, some maybe less, but there is absolutely ZERO chance anybody is hitting 3×17 at 60% (let alone with 1 minute rest intervals) after a 3×5 at 80%. Just not possible unless your bench is maybe just 45 pounds or something
