  1. The Calisto Protocol is an amazing game that needed more time to be polished. It's still a 9/10 game, in my opinion. I don't normally watch your videos, and I definitely will never subscribe because we clearly have VERY different opinions about things… It was after this review that I knew your content was not for me 👍 Been playing through CP again and this video popped up. I didn't re-watch this, just came here to leave this comment 🙂 I would recommend CP to EVERYBODY that likes horror games. Its amazing.

  2. I agree.

Story is nice, but a game can be fine without one if you got some hook to get players invested into what's happening but without any of that then, eh.. what's the point?

No motivation, nothing to chase so it just ends up feeling pointless and this game, heh, visually stunning but almost entirely hollow within.

  3. the director spent the entire dead space trilogy taking all the credit for the success smelling his own farts, then blaming EA for 3's failure. Then the moment he gets to do he own thing with a huge budget and leeway, he blames others again for its failure.

  4. I was so disappointed with how little they did with Sam Witwer. He's my favorite voice actor and I was so hyped to see him. I'd have rather had him as the actor for the main character.

  5. Fuck this reviewer, it's a decent game. Should they have marketed it as the melee horror it is instead as a Dead Space successor? Sure, but this game is good. Don't let pessimistic reviewers like this trash bag trick you.

  6. I usually don't mind cursing @ all, unless it's blasphemy, but I SWEAR I eventually got SO sick of it, I ACTUALLY started counting…of the last THIRTEEN videogame reviews I've watched, TWELVE contained @ least 1 instance of blasphemy. If this were a person being shot-at, like in real-life, okay, I could @ least understand WHY it might occasionally pop-out, but 95% of ALL game reviews? You're in air-conditioning, playin GAMES on a $5000+ rig, in a planned-out review, where yhe OVERWHELMING majority of people watching, will be CHILDREN…I do not understand millennials & younger

  7. It was ok and not terrible. Unfortunately, it's not as good as Dead Space 1 or 2. Even the simple act of stomping on enemies feel visceral and better on the older titles

  8. Love revisiting this review since it got so much hate at the time… and yet no one remembers nor cares about this game. Really hope the best for the studio but yeah, game basically doesn’t exist.

  9. It sucks because I really fucking want to like this game. The aesthetic, the setting, it's literally smack bang down my alley, gives me The Expanse vibes when they unleash the protomolecule on whichever station it was… But then it just sucks. Bums me out man… Anyway great review, I'm new to the channel but like your style for what it's worth

  10. I am a die hard Dead Space fan, finished all, plus the remake. But these games can't compare, there is just way more stuff in DS. However, when you approach CP with an open mind, it's actually a pretty awesome game to be honest. I liked the gritty claustrophobic atmosphere, and the visuals are truly stunning. People complain about the combat but it has it's vibe, there is some skill required to play with finesse. i liked it.

  11. I have just finished this hot steaming pile of manure and even though I paid nothing for it (thanks, Epic Games), I still feel I wasted my time. Truly an awful game!

  12. I'm not exaggerating in saying this is one of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had. There was so much promise and it's so gorgeous, it's just abysmal to play. Hopefully these artists can get some better work because a true horror or even LA Noire type game with this level of animation would be game changing.

  13. There's one part I was playing last night where you come up the chains into the pool. Then you proceed to a hallway where there is three or four monsters that will kick your ass if you don't have enough resources so I decided to let the monster chase me into the pool if you let the monster chase you into the pool the game totally glitches in the monster can't hit you at all in the pool I actually found a game to be more entertaining fighting the monster in the pool and him not being able to hit me then the actual game

  14. P I think they should have just left Dead space out of it all together and didn't even compare it to dead space that way people didn't have the expectations of it being like that space because it's actually not a bad and I wish I could write the developers and tell them if they just open that game up a little bit had some backtracking maybe a little bit of open world next to it that game would be really good

  15. I tried it because its free in the Epic Games Store and my experience was the same, there were some highlights but overall this game is a chore to go through, I feel I was ripped off even though I got it for free

  16. I was so bored with CP, like the opening was great, beautiful visuals and design and my excitement shot up when I saw the man, the Sith, the Freaker slaying biker, Sam Witwer as the bad guy too! But the gameplay was boring and dated as all hell, felt like something out of 07. And the game would pull suuuuuuch bullshit that made the game a slog. Its one of the few games I've completed out of spite for the game.

  17. Ya man just finished it on PS5. Combat really ruined it for me. Got boring and annoying real quickly when all you are doing is holding left analog to alternate sides waiting. First miniboss on train was particularly annoying as I ran out of ammo and had to figure out a way to make him fall under the train. Really poorly thought out. Beautiful looking game and I can forgive thin story but the janky combat is what kills experience

  18. I really enjoyed it but i think we were all wanting a Deap Space and the melee focus was not what we want. In 2024 and after the Dead Space remake this is a great game. Once you just except and master the combat its a lot of fun and I liked the character of Jacob.

  19. im so glad this was just in the monthly download list i get from having a ps5 sub 😭 the combat was just not functional and it really stopped me from enjoying it at all let alone how linear and down your throat everything was. It was a great looking game but whats the point if its just a long decorative hallway from point a to b for every mission

  20. The story was fine.. {this guy thinks Alan wake 2 is a masterpiece so your opinion is invalid} it’s the combat and shitty jumpscares plus it’s not scary enough.
