  1. Historic heat wave, almost as high as back when Jim O'Brien would call it the 3 Hs (hazy, hot and humid). Jim O'Brien doesn't call it the 3 Hs anymore, he died in 1983 in a skydiving accident but if you want, pick up a few cases of Yuengling and stay hydrated in this 'historic heat wave'. Yuengling can save your life, but beware, the heat may cause weather apps to turn orange or even red!

  2. There's one more measure that's hardly ever mentioned: if you can, have a cold foot bath.
Our feet and lower legs play a part in heat regulation. Cooling your feet will contribute to lowering your overall body temperature. It's the same for other animals, for birds it's also their legs and feet, as well as their beaks (certain species have been observed to have begun adapting, or trying to, by developing longer legs and beaks). So if you don't have a pool, like me, most city dwellers and generally most people on Earth, if it gets really hot, cold foot bath, change the water regularly to keep it cool. On top of everything Dr. Gupta recommended.

  3. I live in sc and the weather here from spring to this day has been extremely mild this year . Maybe everyone around me is having high temps but here in upstate sc it has been a really nice year so far and I work outside for a living so I think I would know .

  4. How to get really stupid people to survive what they shouldn't. What happened to survival of the fittest…huh? Need more dumb voters for the left? And I thought the left or YT could not get any stupider.

  5. Some of these comments are so ignorant, "so they renamed a heat wave?", what do you think heat waves are? And why this is related to climate change is due to climate changes connection to the erratic nature of the jet stream over the last half century, but these ignorant psuedoscience "gLoBaL WaRmiNg iZ a HoAx" people are too uneducated to know what's up with the jet stream.

    Look up "Omega Block"

"Blocks in meteorology are large-scale patterns in the atmospheric pressure field that are nearly stationary, effectively "blocking" or redirecting migratory cyclones. They are also known as blocking highs or blocking anticyclones.[1] These blocks can remain in place for several days or even weeks, causing the areas affected by them to have the same kind of weather for an extended period of time (e.g. precipitation for some areas, clear skies for others).[2] In the Northern Hemisphere, extended blocking occurs most frequently in the spring over the eastern Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.[1] Whilst these events are linked to the occurrence of extreme weather events such as heat waves,[3] particularly the onset and decay of these events is still not well captured in numerical weather forecasts and remains an open area of research."

  6. It's a "block" of pressure stalling the jet stream and keeping a hot zone in place while being exacerbated by La Nina and the erratic nature of the jet stream.

Aka: a stalled heat wave causing a "heat dome".

  7. It's truly amazing how frail we have become, air conditioning is a relatively new invention in the history of Mankind and we were able to live thousands of years without it but now all of a sudden it gets hot and people start dropping dead

  8. Summer is supposed to be hot so lets not make the argument that its global warming climate change or whatever bs your slinging that week. You all disgust me . TRUMP 2024 ❤️ STOP THE LEFTS INSANITY

  9. From the Southwest. Get a f'ing grip. You are in the 90s and low 100s. It's been like that since March/April here. The only difference is that it's on the East Coast. It's now migrating back to us. Will you even notice?😂

  10. Dangerous heat wave ! What ! Typical leftist from msnbc ! Down here in deep south , Texas is a cozy 112 degrees in the shade with 100 % humidity during the summertime.
So…… people are complaining about 85- 95 degrees in the upper north east …..really ? That's a cool front for us. Deal with it folks. This is NOT climate change , it is called summertime.
