First officer was absolutely wonderful! Seriously if every single officer was like here the U.S would be in a genuinely awesome state in terms of law enforcement. However the last officer, the older white guy talking to the family, was NOT. All he did the 2nd time the family came up was trying to tell them why they're wrong and pin any blame on a clearly flustered family, maybe just sit silent, let them say what they want to say and then speak your part once when they calm down a little bit. All you have to say when they keep interrupting you is "I understand you guys are flustered, please let me explain", if they interrupt you then just say that again. Yes arguing with someone on edge like this who keeps interrupting you is frustrating but this is the most important part where patience needs to be exercised. De-Escalation is very clearly taught and this guy was not doing it well.

For every time the media reports on some unlawful arrest or use of excessive force, one of these videos should also be shown, so people know what good policing looks like where people are constantly giving you problems. Selectively only showing instances of bad police behavior has made our collective mentality surrounding policing way worse.
