  1. I overcame it by letting myself overthink as much as i could until i came to the conclusion that the absolute worst outcome is if i die 😂. Other than that, i have a place of my own and a full time job so like literally a week later, im gonna be at my job and at my place doing my daily routine. If she says no, my life in a week wont change, if she says yes, my life in a week is most likely gonna be better. It actually made me stop overthinking so much when you let your mind go to the absolute worst outcome cuz then every other one aint so bad.

  2. Social anxiety is not fear of talking to girls. That is shyness issue.

If you had karate lessons – it means you did not have social anxiety. Social anxiety would prevent you from taking any lessons – because that is social anxiety. You had shyness which you decided to diagnose as social anxiety.

Being confident and talking to people is not the same as not having social anxiety.
    Because
Social anxiety can be Functional and masked – so socially anxious people can learn to appear confident – with trauma still being alive and festering inside.

By explaining that confidence and talking to random girls is our goal in life – you are misleading people into suppressing trauma and real deep issues which are true social anxiety. Which is dangerous – because trauma can turn sinister and in self harm.

You are confusing "not being able in talking to people" as social anxiety.

Exposure therapy does not work with social anxiety due to toxic shame, toxic introject, harsh inner critic, operant conditioning – which is inner saboteur and also abuse, external conditions.

Social anxiety is not being scared of talking to random girlies in a park.
Social anxiety is being stuck in toxic mobbing job without being able to quit this job due to socio-economic circumstances.

Confidence based on toxic shame inside will end up as narcissistic disorder. Toxic shame, which you do not mention in your video – is crucial motor of social anxiety.

Your ideas that we are guilty for having social anxiety, that we must become someone else – and then pay you money for it is sinister.

  3. I find that my social anxiety is heightened by jumping to conclusions and overthinking. You're right that confidence, overexposure, and positive thinking can help you overcome social anxiety. Thanks, Pierre!

  4. I used to have really bad social anxiety, but I overcame 90% of it by forcing myself to make small talk with my barber, or answer a question in class and after a while, you feel so much better about yourself. I still get the occasional bit of anxiety, but it isn't nearly as bad as it used to be.
