3:30 incorrect, it wasn't just dutch and 700 Javanese. The Dutch fought alongside the Johor Sultanate whose forces numbered in the thousands.
While the Dutch blockaded Malacca from the sea, Johor blocked Malacca's land route. Seizing crops and burning farms. Johor war boats also intercepted ships heading towards Malacca. And it wasn't the Dutch assault that defeated Malacca Portuguese. It was the siege that was done by Johor which lasted for 5 months.
By the time Malacca falls, the city's inhabitants were already weak from starvation which completed the Malay's war against Portuguese which lasted for 130 years.
I would thank to Japan to have Asia out of Colonialism
Is it legal to colonize other countries?
THAILAND !!! Very Nice 😀
An island has arisen in the middle of the I dian Ocean thanks to tectonic plate convergence. All the countries standing across the whole coastline of the Indian Ocean decide to carefully survey it.Vietnam Goes too since every other Indochina Peninsula nation goes. All the countries cone to the friendly conclusion that there is absolutely nothing to do with this pile of just rocks and that it only belongs to nature.50 years pass and still the island doesn't have trees , but rather some small unfarmed crops of rice fields.Well strangely enough one year later……

G7 Charity, who’s with me
The France flag is very accurate just a white flag 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mabuhay Pilipinas!
Bro doesn't want 1975 💀
France actually took land west of the Mekong river near Luang Prabang in 1904, not the late 1800s.
"This island" is called Negros Island.
a good lesson for sea countries that we will not accept any of modern colonialism ever again..
its actually aceh and Johor who forming an alliance with dutch to take Malacca from Portuguese.
I find it so interesting how much the Portuguese & the Dutch could achieve despite such tiny population for Portugal and such a tiny country for The Netherlands, never mind what the British and the French achieved, Europeans are built different man.
It's a shame we don't have people that reflect the air, water, trees, animals around them anymore since globalisation and certain immigration policies. It's cool looking at the times when the races/factions competed. Something wholesome about it. How the Europeans treated each other with respect despite being in a life or death power struggle etc.
This is interesting. Philippines have been colonized by many countries. First are spain then usa and then captured by japan. British control manila for 2 years and Netherlands tried also to captured philippines but not successful, so they back out. This is why western influences in the philippines are a big impact, suffer for many years of colonization but still it stands and keep moving on.
I hadn't looked at your channel until I finished watching this video. Judging by the quality I assumed you had a 100K+ subs but was surprised you have not have surpassed 1K yet! You deserve more subscribers.
1:39 interesting… why did bro not mention the island's name 💀💀
Why don't you show all of history and how Asian countries also colonised other countries in the past , don't just look at recent history
How does ‘this’ island in the Philippine that was conquered by the Spanish is pronounced?
Colonized*
Thailand waving in the back
Western colonization is cancer and virus
Thailand didn't invade by Japan Thailand and Japan make allies and tell them let them have to colonize Myanmar
The Dutch attempted to invade Manila, but they were defeated by natives who were convinced by the Spaniards to fight the unChristian invaders. When the Filipinos successfully thwarted a Dutch invasion, they did not credit any of the people who actually fought them, but gave the credit to themselves and the Virgin Mary: Nuestra Señora de la Naval de Manila.
Coward! Say the Island's name!
Thats why japan came to make them neutral
East Asia coprosperity sphere
Thanks a lot for showing correct map India🇮🇳 🙏🏻
small mistake, banten still exists. bordering jakarta and west java, but informative video!
Sabah belongs to the Philippines though. Diplomatic notes during the Spanish American conflict, multiple protests before 1963, and continuous representations made because a contract exists with Malaysia paying the heirs of the Sultan until modern times, showing the sovereignty lay with them which was transferred to the Philippine government in the 1970s. Malaysia will now pretend this does not exist by reneging on contracts made with the heirs of the Sultan of Sulu, how honorable is that compared to what Russia does with western territories it covets. A disgrace to their fellow Muslims in the Sultan of Sulu.
1:40 THIS ISLAND XD. ah its funny but i get it dont worry.
Correction 9:45 it wasn’t colonised or invaded the Thailand by the Japanese they influenced only
They were just a puppet state only
The Latin roots in the Philippines, particularly in Cebu cannot be overstated. Manila was effectively a Spanish city until the Japanese massacred them in 1944. Cebu was settled by hundreds of Spanish families and were spared by Japan, the Latin roots run deep still with Cebuanos.
Finally a Southeast Asian content creator! I'm sure that your channel will blow up in one year or less.
1:40 This Island he referrring to is the Negros Island, and I ain't racist, Im a Filipino myself and this Island exist. Search 4th largest country in the Philippines. He just avoided saying the word so that he wouldn't cancel, haha.
By the way, In 1891 U.K. Invaded Spanish Palawan and won.
Germany invaded Spanish Mindanao after Invasion of Palawan. But this history is alternative that was made by CountryZ.
British & Dutch is the reason why nowadays Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia & Philippines can't live in harmony & peace..
land dispute between Malaysia & Philippine is caused by British who take the land.. same goes to Thailand & Malaysia where their land is swapped by British and that causing nowadays Southern Thai become most conflict region in that country..
also modern day Malaysia & Indonesia keep fighting about cultural things because Dutch & British separated them at the first place! they used to be ONE, then Dutch & British destroys everything!
The first colonisation of Ducth of Java only in West Java region not East or Central Java.
Never in history the Portuegese colonizes part of Java island.
Thailand was not invaded. Please correct this long long history of misinformation for many years to make the image of Japan worst than Western colonizers.
1:40 the "this island" is an N-word island. LOL
Cambodia was a protectorate not a colony. Do learn to discriminate the differences. They are two words for a reason. The Cambodians allied with the French. The Vietnamese were indeed a colony. That’s why the Vietnamese hate the French and Cambodians don’t.
Didn’t French Indochina a also have some small parts of Thailand, but they were seceded back to Thailand after 1954, also Japan did in fact invade Thailand and I still it as a puppet state, and let it join them as the Axis Powers
This prove the earth is not flat
Wonder why my asean friends look up to their former overlords so much, because the locals were brainwashed by their masters
East timor was integrated to Indonesia in 1976 not 1980.
