  1. Once the sound effects are recorded, they go into the library and can be inserted during edit assembly. Foley is not used nor necessary to do for every cartoon. You will notice that the effects are the same. This is why. What you are seeing is the creation of new and original effects, which are necessary since the effects used over the past 60 years have become cliche's and worn out.

  2. Looks like a fun job. I just wish they'd stop using squealing tire sounds when the car's on gravel or mud, and stop with the gun cocking every time someone points a gun or waves one around. Other than stupid film conventions like that, Foley is awesome.

  3. Foley artistry seems to be very fun work, but often difficult job to do. I like how it requires abstract thinking as well as considering the character shape and it’s features. My favorite film sound is the one with the slide whistle!
