The judge said he never had a Michigan licence. Do the people in Michigan know that there are places outside of their state that can issue driving licences? I remember that video where a cashier and manager didn't think that a US passport was a valid form of government ID in their state.

I don’t know how it works in USA but where I live you have to apply to a driving school pass a written exam about driving signal and regulation and then pass a driving test with an instructor after several driving lessons on the road and in the parking lot
I have my driving license obtained when I was 16 years old for my motorcycle and at 18 for my car and after nearly two decades I still remember like yesterday how painfully boring and tedious the whole process was
