That sanctity of the confessional thing is a CATHOLIC tradition, and is not a part of other churches. The others have the choice to report or not report depending upon whether they believe the offense is likely to be repeated. The Catholic priest can’t report even a serial offender of the most heinous crimes, which is an offense against God! The priest is supposed to be a shepherd, guiding and protecting his flock, not a protector of the wolf preying upon them!

Riss you asked for correction if incorrect: First there is no "Mormon Church".. there are different churches that use the Book of Mormon as part of their scripture. Secondly as far as The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints goes the things you talked about in this video MOST CERTAINLY are not "accepted/allowed/etc" and there is no "the church will keep it silent" stance either. In point of fact the Church takes a very strong stance against such behavior and doesn't hesitate to report it to authorities. Unlike other large Churchs that "move around" such predators in order to hide it. Dig more on this story and you might even find out that it was members of the Church that helped authorities to arrest and charge this predator.
