  1. Would you expect eyes axis value to go both up and down over the years or if that happens could one or both of the optometrists be off with their judgement? My axis measurements were
    L: 80( 2012) ,90(2016), 80 (2025). R: 90(2012), 90 (2016), 85 (2025).
The sphere numbers went from +0.5 to +0.25, and cylinder -0.25 to -0.50.

I don't feel like i can't read things , i just feel like my eyes / forehead feel consistently tired and I get migraines sometimes. Any advice?

  2. Could you speculate what is happening. I have a pair of frames which I've fitted 2 different lenses; an old (progressive), then new (Single) prescription; Same problem on both, Sight was clear when looking straight but if i looked anywhere else, I would get blur, like a lower level of prescription. I could tell by looking at text about 10 feet away and moving my head an inch or so but keeping focus on the text. I've never experienced this before with any other frame. The optician checked the new lens using equipment and it reports its not a progressive lens and has the same prescription throughout. She suggested changing the base curve but she said she could not know what the problem is.

  3. Imagine the complexity of prescribing corrective lenses to a 4D person. In all seriousness, I have asked my doc these questions and they’re busy so the explanation didn’t stick.

  4. nice one. my prescription gives me the strength of my reading glasses. but i also have a pair for tv long vision how would i get that from it. sph+1.50 cyl-1.00 axis115.00 near add 2.0 guess reading is 3.5. what wold long vision be.

  5. Hi! Another Joseph Allen here. 👋 It would have been nice to see your lens prescription with lines how all the different numbers affect the lens/light direction. 🙂 That way it would be easier to visualize how it all comes about. (mine are OD -150 -50 160 OS -125 -50 5). I also remember going to different optical stores and some would instead recommend a higher powered lens but rate me zero in cylinder (would appreciate your feedback here).

  6. @DoctorEyeHealth I'm hoping you'd make a new vlog explain how to convert from progressive to single Rx lens, please? Found few YT vlogs and still trying to understand…
