  1. Game pass is the best new addition to gaming in recent memory. For the subscription price you pay and for the quality of games on offer you honestly cant beat it. The overpriced nature of games nowadays keeps me paying my subscription and not buying physical but i wouldnt have experienced ganes like dead space remake, Atomic Heart, Starfield, the older elder scrolls games and many many others. Incredible service and brilliant value for money

  2. Dude it’s not a bad deal at all and tbh most things will be subscription based in the future and you can already see it happening. I use Xcloud/gamepass to stream my games to my phone while at work out out and about and yeah it can be a little laggy sometimes especially with 5G and no WiFi but it’s getting better and better every year. I’m also getting a backbone for my phone too. Y’all also have to think how many games will be Available on it in the future

  3. If your game is good enough putting it on a subscription service increases engagement and interest. Meaning more people will either buy it when it leaves the service. Or even buy it on another platform. I have done this myself because the monthly fee helps me to save money and therefore increases my desire to buy more games.

  4. It's quite interesting that Game Pass healing a video game industrie, but I really want to know how much indie developers lose. Looking forward for part 2!

  5. Game Pass for PC sucks ass because it only allows you to use a keyboard for control! I'm sorry but when I game, I wanna use a CONTROLLER. Steam lets you use a controller but it doesn't have game pass. What if a Steam Game Pass was created though?🤔

  6. Cool video fellow Canuck! Good video but you gotta get a mic! Blue Yetis are cheap and work well. The sound bouncing off your walls makes you sound like you're in a metal tube.

  7. The comment "I didn't watch the whole video yet but I am dying to say that the subscription service just helps people realize the indie games made by people who care are better than soulless AAA cash grabs. Right?" is not the full story. Yes the AAA's that get to Game Pass are soulless cash grabs while small indy games are often a more focussed clever experience, if you can stand the clunky controls and bugs (Subnautica etc). But I'm referring to the highly polished AAA masterpieces on Playstation. They are not bloated soulless cash grabs that Xbox gamers refer to as reference. Don't believe everything that Phil says as gospel. Don't even believe me. Branch out and smell the fresh air for yourself. You decide.

  8. Game Pass is about to change gaming forever." Be careful what you wish for because the change may not be good if game devs get throttled. The quality of games and the amount of polish is directly related to funding. Gamers obviously want more games for less money, but there is no magic here. You get what you pay for. You're getting budget games for a budget price. Hardcore gamers don't want a tsunami of crap for a cheap price. Leisure time is precious, so they want their money to buy quality. This video claims that flooding you with mediocrity for a low price is respectful of your gaming time. This is not true.

Phil Spencer is not being transparent here. He gives the impression Game Pass subs are up and that you get lots of top quality games for a cheap price. The reality is that Game Pass subs have saturated. Everyone that wants it has it, and those that are now seeing the limitations are cancelling. Phil told us that Game Pass was run at a loss to give gamers value for money, now he says Game Pass turns a 10-15% profit. The two statements cannot both be correct. One is a lie. Which one.

The truth is as suspected. MS are running it at a loss to gain traction with the price artificially low, throttling game development, resulting in broken poor quality games. The service is not growing as expected. Eventually Game Pass subs will have to rise. You cannot expect to get highly polished AAA masterpieces like The Last Of Us 1 + 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider Man and God Of War on a service like Game Pass. Once gamers realise that you can buy all those games cheaper than the price of an annual Game Pass sub, it doesn't look so good.

It's a huge loss for gaming if large AAA masterpieces can't breath in a sea of cheap mediocre indy games.

  9. one problem with your fitness plan, the bottom line may stop at money, but as an artist I can understand how some games are art regardless of the bottom line. It's like that with music as well – you can choose to be popular, or you can be creative.

  10. I feel like the problem with subscription game passes is eventually the bubble will burst. When that happens they will either need to keep increasing the price till it is no longer a good deal or start taking games off the service to save on costs. They can't just keep adding games at the same price and I also feel this will eventually have a negative effect on the variety of games sort of like when every game was a shooter for a bit.

Just my opinion you never know with these things after all.

  11. Game companies do not care of it's fun it needs to be just fun enough that you keep playing but not fun enough that you do not buy microtransactions please go watch the South Park episode on mobile gaming it explains everything and it's freaking hilarious

  12. Game pass is a scam because none of your saves are yours, and they really can give two shirts less if you play everything they just want you to spend money advertise at $10 a month but then only make it worth buying the $20 a month, typical marketing tactics, think about it 20 bucks a month through billion people adds pretty fast and you geniuses are still buying crap that doesn't work on day one Good job oh and good job buying all those microtransactions that's why those are still around too oh and the season passes battle passes stop buying this crap and it will go away it takes some freaking self control The gamers don't have self-control and the companies know this

  13. To really take advantage of game pass an Xbox is required. I tried gamepass to check it out the cloud game aspect is useless with out an Xbox and a very good and stable internet connection.
