This movie should be the top contender for the most insultingly stupid movie physics.
Remarkable seeing all the ways UFO inspired Neon Genesis Evangelion. Even the editing, the quick, crisp transitions from issuing orders, to establishing shot of vehicle, vehicle in transit, establishing shot of distant location, panning across set. And the gleeful showcasing of SHADO's competency. But without the child soldiers and inhumanity!

This is how I live my life everyday…in my mind.
I used to rush home each week to not miss this on the TV. Later in life, after watching a documentary about Gabrielle's brother Nick, I realised I used to drive passed their family home every day.
That hairstyle is now mandatory.
A lot of smoking going on. Maybe in the "future" they forgot about the health effects. Other than that, quite enjoyable. Gabrielle Drake (playing Lt. Ellis in this film) had quite a good acting career. Still alive at age 80.
