  1. One of the best Lovecraft movies i've ever seen 😀 And its competition was a little too gross, imo, this is juuuuust right for the 'far fringe, but not SUPER dark stuff' lover. Nice modern exploration of similar themes and settings, and as said below the acting is actually really good from the leads, they carry it well, and definitely deserve more work. If you like Lovecraft for its concepts and mood, you'll enjoy this.

  2. 10 minutes . Silly B grade movie, does youtube ever have serious movie , I meen good movies , you know ones that aren't a waste of one's time. Skipping ahead a few minutes at a time is the go

  3. A home handiman ladder is used to climb into the submersible. Then a metal garbage can lid is the upper pressure hatch. The submersible is made of sheet metal, and the "rover" pressure chamber is also made of sheet metal. Then they have a submachine gun with an inexhaustible magazine of ammo. The horror! It was so bad that I couldn't believe what they were going to come up with next and kept watching. Basically an "Alien" wannabe but out at sea and not close to being even 1/100th as good.

Watch it to see just how bad a movie can be. That's the horror.

  4. Misatonic University! This film must be adapted from a short story by H. P. Lovecraft. However, in Lovecraft's story only one scientist gets through the portal and comes back years later to civilization.

  5. I enjoyed the whole B-movie..ness of it. The effort that went into something that everyone involved knew was a low budget B movie was frankly, impressive and the female lead was actually a good actor. Well done all.

  6. The biggest challenge the crew and admin staff had to face in this movie was how to keep a straight face and not burst out laughing, although the girl at the end looked as though she was enjoying herself. The actors are worthy of better things. The set was too good for the script. I know it was low-budget, but I do think they could have afforded a strip light, or a couple of 100W bulbs.

  7. So sorry to everyone who I know worked hard on this. It's not quite up to current standards, but I understand the issues with budget restraints. I think there's way too much background music going on as well – less is more. Silence here and there can actually increase the drama. This film is also fairly reductive, "borrowing'" from several films such as The Abyss, Aliens, and Event Horizon, to name a few. The underwater and ancient massive temple structure has also been seen before in Godzilla, King of the Monsters (where Godzilla naps and recharges.) We may have reached peak sci-fi/horror at this point. Its been years since I've watched anything truly original. I'm a huge fan of these genres, so I'm always willing to give everyone a try.
