She sound like someone who was never told no at any time growing up. Couple that with some mental illness and a touch of alcohol and possibly drugs and you get this. Can't blame him for being scared of her, she scares me too. Her family worries me as well, they don't sound the sanest either. I honestly don't get how they'd expect her to just be sent to therapy, that is an insanely high bar to clear. There are situations where people should be sent there as a preemptive measure, but that's legally tricky.
This is highschool behavior.. when we don't know how to control our behavior/relationships..
