  1. It's impossible to generalize. That's why shoes were invented. It all depends a lot on where you're walking. In the snow, in the hot desert, in the forest, etc. When we're wearing sneakers, the foot strike is much firmer, but if you're walking in the forest and you stomp hard, you'll get hurt.

Here in Brazil, people often wear flip-flops like Havaianas; they leave the feet free but maintain a secure base.

Foot exercises are important, especially for office-worn feet.

For me, the type of footwear will depend on where I'm going to put my feet.

    Boots, flip-flops, sneakers, barefoot, etc.

  2. Where I live, no way, gnarly thorns, stray cats a hige problem which you will.step in cat poop, deer, bear poop fog poop, urp alot of surprises on the grounds. Elevation uneven so I would need shoes that flex and protect my feet. What do you suggest?

  3. I wear thick padded shoes, tight toe box shoes, leather shoes, but in my early years I did alot of footwork, i have a strong foot grip, my toes works somewhat like hands, and I still move them for their workability.

  4. It depends on the use case of the shoes and how long you will be using those muscles in the feet. Yes I agree it's good to put more effort into training those muscles but if you work those muscles too hard can lead to more damage of your body then good health

  5. I have always loved to walk barefoot at home since I was little. Anytime I'm not at work or in public, I'm barefoot. Was never a conscious health thing, I'm just autistic and hate shoes and socks lmao

  6. Love the idea, will only try this in my garden. I live in England where every other house has a dog, people let their dogs poop on the grass and pick it up by scooping into a bag, if I walk or run in grass I will have poop on my foot no doubt.

  7. I cant walk outside barefoot cuz there's glass and needles everywhere outside. But im always barefoot inside and thats where i am most of the day so i think i have pretty mobile healthy feet
