Why would they age Barrett? He's only 35 and already looked the part. I guess his ordeal in Remake was traumatic.
Also, let's refrain from saying "higher" in "higher grade."
The problem is no ai upscaling. Nearest neighbor in this year and age. SMH 11:02
this game works awful on pc …. i have ryzen 9800x3d and rtx 5080 and it works like shi t
Game looks Garbage on ps5. Either slides how or a garbage…😢
I can't believe u didn't mention lightning eye adaptation issues a single time, like how?
For me is one of the biggest problems graphically speaking. And it has nothing to do with performance, but very VERY bad design choice.
Its a convoluted mess with so much filler and padding, what a disgrace 🚮
Ps5 or ps5, in my opinion, its really unbeatable at its value cos for same price, likely no pc can match it up to 4k.. the upscaler is very good..
But a proper specd pc starting 7800xt/4070 and up, cannot be matched by even a ps5 pro.. just no way..
damn whyd they remove the moving foliage, that would make a massive difference imo
No loading screens besides fast travel is a complete lie because fast travel is the only to make your make around the map the game is NOT open world so there are loading screens unless you are gonna run in circles in one zone
Cloud looks weird idk
So wait for PC then
So Part 3 just before ps6, enhanced slightly for pro and remastered on 6.
The game is to big i could care less about open world. I'd have been more happy with zones and better graphic fidelity across the board. Remake/Interlude on ps5 is still the best looking game i've ever played and i do prefer it to Rebirth. Rebirth is to big and to bloated the story is to back loaded because of this. Plus the ending was not good.
Just one thing, the quirky jump animation is a reference to how the characters jumped in the OG. They did the goofy jumps there too
Finally ps5 pro can clean this up as it’s pretty bad in performance mode
cant wat for the ps5 pro to me dropped off at my house, really need it for rebrth.
The only game that needed a ps5 pro
7 months in and Rebirth is still by far the game of the year! Just make the people in this comment section bitching about lightning and ghosting like absolute morons. Love to see it.
Is this game running on the same engine as forspoken? it's annoying playing this game. You put it on performance mode, the graphics are low res and can;t really see details in combat. you put it on quality mode, the resolution is clean and clear, but during fights its fast and choppy. You can't really win here…
I'll speak for myself here. To me, FFVII Remake was already perfect yes it had many visual flaws but nothing worth complaining in my opinion. In fact, I consider FFVII Remake and MGSV graphical limits for games considering I'm not into realism and I don't care about many technical stuff as light bouncing from surfaces or shadows resolution if in the end the game is boring to play.
In any case, all issues with Rebirth will be fixed for the PC port next year.
So it wasn't just my imagination that Remake looked better than Rebirth
4 months later and it's still the same. I just got this game and a 4k tv. it's honestly hard to pick between 60fps with blurred graphics or 30fps with good graphics
yea i was wondering why they removed the foliage in the full game…
This is bad even by ps4 standards. The funniest part is the PC port wont be any better because Square likes doing a Square
I rather to play this game on 60 fps with remake graphics, I hate to play at 30fps with awful texture of the wold.
Is it me or are these "digital foundry tech reviews" getting shorter
Weird edge case for those with Sony TVs. TURN ON REALITY CREATION. If you do this on the performance modes, the TV will use the onboard cpu to run a super-sampling that literally makes all the difference for having the best of both worlds. The sharpness is incredibly improved and the framerate gets to stay high.
I had hoped that with the second iteration that SE would fix the graphical inconsistencies from he first instalment, which people rightfully berated. An example would be the infamous door. With the release of XVI and how well it is presented from start to finish, I would have expected that similar methods would be employed with VII as it is the bigger title and should warrant the same or greater fidelity. Seems not. My guess is that SE is riding the nostalgia factor of VII and making cuts for the sake of cost savings and pushing the game out faster. It's a tad disappointing.
cant wait for the pc port
For those watching but hasn’t played the game:
1. The game looks fine on my 55” Sony 90J.
2. It is a surprisingly beautiful open world game. And perform really well throughout my experience.
