I love the Warwick but their prices are insane vs Fender. I'll glide by with a Japanese jazz upgraded when a streamer lx is like 3x the price here in Australia.
I'd love to try a Sire though.
Honestly they aren't that different, the Warwick sounds like a modern take on the Jazz Bass sound as it has the two same pickups but moved 1cm closer to the bridge (in fact the Warwick bridge pickup is in the exact same position of the 70s Jazz Bass bridge pickup) while also being active giving and extra clarity and brightness but because of it, it is still as versatile as a regular Jazz Bass
Both sound great, can’t go wrong with either‼️

Warwicks with MEC neck pickups all just sound so beastly. Fender… I’m honestly just really sick of that particular sound.
