F-150: Fluid Film Touch-Up
Weather is warming up, but we’re supposed to get snow again next week. With the weather being slightly warm today, I decided to touch up the rust protection on my 2021 Ford F-150.
In this video, I used Fluid Film but have used other products like Surface Shield and Wool Wax. I like Fluid Film because the nozzle on it doesn’t clog as easily as some of the other products.
I’m not a car expert, and made this video for entertainment purposes. Please read safety data sheets of the product you use and ensure you study what you can/can’t apply this product to on your vehicle. I’ve read that it is NOT safe on my rubbers.

Looked like much of the Surfaces being spot checked/sprayed were "dry". Would you say the Fluid Film is mostly drying and becomes something similar to like a WD-40 varnish coating that isn't oily/wet and still protects the surfaces its on?
Up in Maine we have product called NHOU (New Hampshire Oil) – works really well. I also like Surface Shield. I’ve found that Fluid Film washes off too easily, but it’s still a great product.
Your U-joint looked fine to me. The leaf spring shows witness marks of the rubber stop, it also appears lined up properly. You're doing a great job MWF150.
I like Fluid Film, but I switched to AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Metal Protector for my 2016 F150
If you warm up the fluid film cans to say 90-100degF then the fluid film will spray out in a fine mist more like spraying spray paint. I put the cans in a pot of hot water for a half hour or so before I plan to use them… Not boiling hot, but like as hot as it comes out of the tap.
