The police allowed this to go on WAAAAAYYYY TOO LONG! This was ridiculous. You are standing in the hallway of a hotel allowing this belligerent drunkard to stumble around and talk way too loudly, most definitely disturbing other people, and even trying to leave him unattended in a room with some weird idea that he is going to stay there or be safe??? WHY?!!! This kind of behavior from police just adds fuel to the idea that law enforcement does not treat all people the same way. Someone…ANYONE…being this obnoxious and belligerent should be arrested within a VERY few minutes. If this had been a different type of person, I guarantee that would have been the case.

As a retired cop, I have to say this was handled very poorly from the start. He should have been arrested at square one for public intoxication and it would have prevented a whole bunch of aggravation and time.
