We need absolute obedience from our government employees right now and anything less she be looked at as an act of insubordination and those people should be in the private sector. If at any point a government employee goes beyond their scope of their operations then we should know why and we should probably find someone that can just do the job we were hiring for. I don't know about you guys but I'd be a little annoyed if I go to get my car washed and I find out they did anything beyond that I'd be annoyed and probably just wouldn't do business with them again. Government employees aren't working for a business. They don't have to worry about making a profit and as a wealthy country it would be nice to see public service for what it is. It isn't the best paying job but there is a lot of value in "public service" and I believe we can bring back the honor that used to come from serving. A public servant was supposed to be respected because it was a job that people did for the for the community and not the money. Politicians say they are public servants, so do the law enforcement, and judges yet they don't fit the definition at all. In fact, they are the reason public service has lost all respect. When's the last time it felt like the American people were being provided a service from any of those groups? They claim they work for the people but they make more money than the people, the level of protections these "service members" have are allowing them to have a 'get out of jail free' card in which they get to do a crime and if caught they can just give up their position instead of jail? That is literally the best incentive for wannabe criminals to join law enforcement. Unfortunately as long as these overly privileged government employees still consider what they do a "service" to the community then they will always be laughed at. No one is getting paid like these people and the benefits are unmatched. Be grateful that the American taxpayers have allowed you to be paid so well and they are repaid with tickets and constant harassment from police. Why do police officers look at citizens as potential criminals instead of the community that they should be getting to know so they feel protected. It's difficult to feel like cops are there to help when they get on a scene, start eyeing everyone one, asking personal questions that is non of their business, they demand you do everything they tell you until they feel safe, obsessed with identitying everyone like Nazis, and everyone wants to respect Police but how do you respect these people making over 6 figures going around looking to extrot more from the community. You have to make a separate department or something because what is a law enforcement officer at this point? How many law enforcement agencies are there and how much is revenue generation instead of law enforcement? This has to be thought about. We want to have a just police force that is solely there to protect and arbitrate for peace. Not every altercation should turn someone into a criminal. It would be nice if it wasn't so easy to turn citizens into criminals. Arresting a person should be nearly impossible if there was no crime is a foot. It's been so normalized to take someone to jail and it's no big deal if the cop lied. Whatever systems we have in place to protect the citizens from government over reach are clearly not working and Americans will never be okay with their rights being violated. End qualified immunity. Body cams with sound that the officers aren't allowed to turn off. If they are on the clock, that body cam is on. Police officers make over 6 figures, great benefits, it's actually a great job but government employees will never ever ever say they make enough money. All government employees are grossly overpaid and they are ungrateful and to say they pay into taxes too literally makes no sense. They are paid with taxpayer dollars. They aren't contributing to the pot, they are just not taking as much when they "pay taxes". If a city only had police officers, they will go bankrupt so fast. No one to take from to give to themselves and once you understand that then maybe the idea that we are going to write and enforce laws to make people good is silly. Create a society that values justice, truth, and service. People are inherently good and if they were left to their own, they will do good. Governments are the ones responsible for wars, they were the ones that defended slavery, government intervention is the ONLY way to create monopolies, the American people can survive without a government but the government can't survive without the people.
