Cops Hunt Down Drug Fugitive
On December 8, 2023, in New Bern, North Carolina, law enforcement officers led by the U.S. Marshals’ Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force assembled in front of a residence to arrest a 25-year-old fugitive, who was wanted on multiple felony drug-related charges.
What began as a simple attempt to arrest a fugitive quickly took a deadly turn when the wanted suspect pulled a gun and aimed it at the arresting officers.
The suspect was struck and critically wounded. Emergency responders tried saving his life at the scene before rushing him to Carolina East Medical Centre, where he was later pronounced dead.

Why did the cop that had the taser that looks like it deployed have to hold on to it for so long? Couldn't put it down and even after he went to go into the room he had his firearm in one hand and a taser still in the other with the wires hanging out.
He made a choice.
