Propaganda has value when one is winning. It is, however, easily exposed when one is vanquished despite claiming to be winning. People are aware of the heavy losses that Ukraine is incurring and acknowledge that they are facing a solid brick wall against the Russians.

I understand he has done things that offend the liberal mind. Since I have only undefined details I cannot make an informed determination about that as do others. I will say however that given the constant threat the US empire poses to Russia in particular; eg western financial banking funding of the Bolshevik’s, US Government military intervention for the Red Army (telling the US Public it was helping the Czars government) and considering what the Communists did to the people of Russia and other countries, US corporations industrial intervention holding up the Soviet regime, US regime change in Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, now again in Georgia, and I believe one of the Kazakhstan (or one of the other nations bordering it, it is a wonder Russians today would believe a word any US official says. This does not even include the constant string a complete and total lies surrounding the US attack on Russia using Ukraine as its proxy which are flagrant and easily proven so due to open discussions in the US Congress.
The US Government looks in the eyes of the world as the reprobate it is.

Khrushchev understood that America would not, could not accept missiles in Cuba. He wanted missiles removed from Turkey, which Kennedy also wanted to do, but it looked like Khrushchev forced Kennedy to do that. The chance of a nuclear showdown was tremendously overstated. The other difference is Khrushchev and Kennedy and their advisors were not crazy people as Biden's advisors are.
