No Quatermass!! Nigel Kneale basically invented the genre.
only 34 and I love sci-fi. Really into the 50's classic sci-fi movies.
Some of my favourite shows were cancelled by season 2 when the stories got interesting – Dark Angel & Tru Calling.
I'm not a number !!! I'm a free man !!!
Great words
Funny how many of these I can name from the creator and the year, without even seeing the picture.
Rod Serling, 1959… Gene Roddenberry, 1966 and 1987… J. Michael Straczynski, 1994… Joel Hodgson, 1989…
Each of these can ONLY be one thing.
" Mindy, you're eyes are leaking". Best line in that show after "Shazbot!" Pretty sure my memory is accurate, but the internet says I am wrong. Discuss. and If I'm wrong I'll retract my comment and simply accept my mistake and apologise.
I'm a little disappointed 44/50. Captain Scarlett for Stingray.
Great to see Sliders getting some love
I got 48/50. You should've included The Champions, Fireball XL5, Stingray, The Immortal, Highlander the series, The Invisible Man, Manimal, TimeTunnel, Rocky Jones Space Ranger, Superman, Sea Quest, Buck Rogers, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Captain Scarlet, The Invaders, UFO, The Night Stalker.
8 that I totally couldn't get(and basically didn't recognize even once the title was shown), Half dozen or so that I knew as soon as year and creator were shown, before the picture confirmed it for me. This video must have been made originally a long time ago or else they decided on a time limit (more likely) because there is nothing later than early 2000s.
29/50 not too shabby for a German, when about 15ish series were never shown on German TV.
No Automan !
i didn't know that Knight Rider was considered Sci-Fi
I got 8 wrong.
I missed 7, 5 I forgot and 2 I never really knew about. I think I did hear about Sapphire and Steel maybe once.
46 of 50 correct.
43 right x
49 out of 50 , missed Land of the Lost , i'v never watched that one , I have a lot of these on Dvd..
Came up 13 short but they were either old, possibly British, or only 1 season.
I got 41 right, got the wrong name for 3, and hadnt a clue what the others were, never shown on UK TV.
I am rewatching Thunderbirds right now, and have Farscape for when that has finished.
One question, why did every single Star Trek series (except Enterprise), get listed, BOTH the B5 series, but none of the other StarGate series ?
I predicted I’d get 45, but got 42 – turns out I’d blanked some of the worst late-90s chaff. 😅
The ST:TNG shot isn’t from the series, it’s from the movie Star Trek: Generations.
The Doctor Who shot is a 3rd Doctor image (Jon Pertwee) from 1972, not 1963.
The Red Dwarf shot is from Season 5 (1994), not Season 1 (1988).
I realise I am not the sci-fi buff I think I was!!! Fascinating!
I've got 40 out of 50. Basically because not everything was aired here in Germany.
hmm guess I really was the only person to watch Time Trax
Most I got or I had to be reminded of, only one I complettly missed, Sapphire and Steel souded like a garden variaty detective show.
I seen all of those except Sapphire and Steel.
39/50…disappointed because although I remember the shows, just couldn't recall the names.
try harder next time lol.
Missed 5, forgot the name of 2.
Awesome sauce 👍😁
You forgot time trax
14 incorrect but thankfully they were the crap shows.
I missed the Tripods, Matthew Star and Earth: Final Conflict, but indeed a nice trip through memory lane
I identified all but 3. The three were show that I had never heard of or watched before.
hey Carole, what is the music you used in this vid?
Got 31.
Millennium wasn't a TV show if I remember correctly. Continuum? This list has a lot missing!
46 /50. The four that I didn't get, I had never heard of. Naturally, the quiz was biased towards American shows, but missed out on ( ALL OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD):
– The Quatermass Experiment
– Quatermass II
– Quatermass and the Pit
– Quatermass ( 1979)
– Stingray
– Supercar
– Fireball XL5
– World on a Wire ( Germany, 1974, Directed by Werner Herzog!)
– Under the Mountain (New Zealand, 1978)
– Space Patrol Orion (West Germany 1966)
– The Tomorrow People (1975 UK)
– Planet of the Apes (USA, 1975)
– The Man from Atlantis
– The Starlost (Canada 1973)
– Starmaidens (UK 1975)
– Jason of Star Command
– Space Patrol (USA 1950s)
– Space Patrol ( UK 1965)
– Doomwatch ( Uk 1975)
– Moonbase 5 (UK 1974)
– Quark
– Flash Gordon ( 1951, 1959)
– The Clangers ( UK, 1967)
– Terrahawks (UK 1979)
Space 1999 first aired in 1974 not 1975
Some of these are much more comedy than Sci-Fi Like Mork and Mindy Or ALF And a couple of them I knew the show but didn't remember the name right. Like calling the land of the lost, the land time forgot. Or mixing up the outer limits and twilight zone And some are English things and also comedy Red Dwarf. I haven't gotten to the end yet but haven't seen UFO yet, or Logan's Run, or Planet of the Apes they had short series anyway. Logan's Run did show up.
45/50, not bad, would have been 46 but Crusade just left my brain.
I got 40
44, not bad in my (biased) opinion 😂
I got all of them except "Land of the Giants".
Never even heard of that one. Was it US only? I don't recall ever seeing it here in the UK… After saying that I stopped watching TV around 1998, so….
B-)
There were 3 I had never seen and another 6 I knew but couldn't get out the name.
44.5. gotta work on my geek card
