I don't understand why she was running around the car screaming. Why wasn't she shooting back? Why wasn't she talking on her radio that she was at the car? Doesn't she have a rifle in the car? Sorry it just seems she panicked. I making a judgement but it seems she could have done more. I agree they should have shot him a few more times. That kind of person is a danger to society.

I couldn't watch all of it, horrifying! There are times I may get frustrated with an officer but when you watch things like this – you then give officers A LOT of grace! This is what they face. It's amazing so many are so compassionate, when you see things like this.
Criminals by level of guilt:
1.Judges & prosecutors.
2.Deputy that cant make a head shot w/ a rifle @ 25yrds.
3.20yr vet that gets out of cruiser w/ no rifle.
4.Perp cockroach pampered at $100k/yr on taxpayer dime for the next 30yrs. That $ could've gone to is real/jukraine.
Chang has a love affair with authority. It is strange that when people are crazy we enshrine them with institutions, while in reality those who are not viable as members of society should be disposed of. If someone is crazy, we should exterminate them, not allowed them to proliferate. We want insanity expunged from society, not coddled and fawned over.

Im glad this guy was caught and that officer made a full recovery but seriously what on earth was she thinking?? They chasing an armed suspect that from what I heard shot out the window of the car at them and is now "missing" amongst tress and you get out of your patrol car and take a casual stroll up to the suspects vehicle, no gun at the ready nothing, That suspect could have still been in the car or hiding behind the car, if he was she would have been dead, Thank goodness she saw him in time to get away with a shoulder wound… Doing what she did also put all the other officers on scene in danger, after he takes her out he would then have access to a working vehicle to escape or he could have taken her hostage… Thank goodness no lives were lost and that fool will rot in jail for the rest of his life…. Its sad really that these criminals with long rap sheets for serious crimes are walking around and given opportunities to do these things, I really thing the judges that let these repeat offenders out should be held somewhat accountable…

Police will get very frustrated with court system, if not already, they keep letting people outwho definitely shouldnt be.
In my humble opinion you shot at at a first responder, the responders should have to eliminate the person or persons firing the shot! And it should be the same for anyone carrying that knows they have what it takes to take life or more to protect your life, or lifes of others. I can tell you it does a number on you the first couple of times. Then you just look at it as I am going home, so I am taking him or them out. These happened in the service. But I KNOW I COULD DO IT AGAIN TODAY IF NEEDED.
California is arguably the most beautiful part of the US. Great climate year round. Unfortunately, it's being destroyed by poor governance (Newsome), lawlessness, taxes, etc. Such a shame.
We need better judges.
