  1. I get very fat because of my genetic diseases and predispositions, but I lost 25-30 kilos. I have tried to lose weight periodically since I was 14 years old. I've been on a diet for 5 years. I have wanted to have an abs since I was a child and I still haven't stopped trying. This is very challenging and tiring. There are people who are in a worse situation than me and I wish them luck.

  2. At 5ft8 and 98kg
I'm at 29% body fat which is obese for a man.
But I have visible ab definition upon tensing. Around 16% photo range.
Currently 38kg skeletal muscle mass which is in the high range.
And due to a bad spine, it has been critical for me to maintain abdominal strength to function.
Keen to see what happens when my body fat drops.

  3. Beware of this info abt women's body fat %. Below 22% you will lose your period and will stop ovulating. 24% is perfectly healthy for fit women. The pictures are wrong, what is 21-23 should actually be the 24%.

  4. I'm 6ft tall weigh 181 lbs. Just had a 3d body scan at the gym that pegged me at 21% body fat, I used to train core 20+ years ago, but I have some level of ab visibility. Still want to get more, but just concerned of getting too lightweight.

  5. The math is terrible because it assumes you lose 40lbs of fat without losing any actual weight! That would mean you also gained 40lbs of muscle during your 6 month fat loss. Thats not happening naturally.

  6. I’m at 14% body fat. I had a dexa scan done so I’m positive I’m at 14. I still can’t see my abs at all I’ve been struggling with this for months and advice for anyone

  7. My goal is to be between 13-19%… that looks ideal to me. I'm not pursuing a 6 pack – but I am doing core workouts almost everyday. I just want a flatter stomach and all around muscle. I'm probably sitting at 25-30% right now. But I'm staying committed, working out everyday, eating healthier, and no crap food except weekends when I'm forced to go to people's houses for dinner.

  8. The math is slightly wrong this will only get you to 12.5% bf. When you lose fat, your total body weight goes down meaning the body fat percentage is based on the new weight. To get to 10% body fat (while maintaining lean mass of 140lbs) your new total weight would be 156LBs, which is 15.6lbs (10%) of fat. This means you need to lose 60-15.6 = 44.4lbs of fat (208days to lose the weight at 1.5lbs per week = 3 weeks longer then specified)

  9. If a man of 200 pounds wants to get from 30% of fat down to 10% of fat and that objective in absolute number is 20 pounds of fat then this implies that the stated goal is to lose fat while maintaining the weight of 200 pounds. This means our subject must lose 40 pounds of fat AND gain 40 pounds of muscle ( and/or water!?!). Gaining 40 pounds of "steak", if I may say, sounds like a lot to me! Isn't it more likely for our subject to reach 10% of body fat at a weight of 170-180 pounds which means losing 42-43 pounds of fat while gaining 22 pounds of muscle? Then again, that's a radical change! Another scenario would be that our fat/unmuscular guy of 200 pounds goes down to 165 pounds of total weight which means he loses 43,5 pounds of fat, gains 8,5 pounds of muscle. Which scenario sounds like the most likely to happen according to you? Is there anyone who can point out a mistake in my math? 😉

  10. are calories even good ? it doesn’t show you the health it’s just heating 1 l of water up 1 degree C , So healthy food can have more calories than unhealthy stuff, vitamins aren’t even included
