    ► LYRICS

    Spiritus Sanctus, Anno, Anno Mundi
    Spiritus Sanctus, Anno, Anno Mundi

Can you see me, are you near me?
Can you hear me crying out for life?
Can you tell me, where's the glory?
Ride the days and sail the nights

When it's over, you'll find the answer
    Running in the whispering rain
    Anno Mundi, can you wonder?
Truth of thunder, life or blame

Do you see a vision of a perfect place?
Does it make you laugh? Put a smile on your face?
Do you need a mirror? Do you see it well?
Does the hand of God still toll the bell?

There are people laughing, they're all laughing at you
If only they could see what you're saying was true, ooh, yeah
Still generals fighting, making war on the world
Don't they know? Don't they know? No, no, no

As the wind of the night blows cold
    Your eyes are burning
And the sands of our time grow old
    Anno Mundi, yeah

Do you follow the path that so many tread?
Are you among the blind, so easily lead?
Do you join in the war? Do you fight for the cause?
Depend on another to fight it alone

As the wind of the night blows cold
    Your eyes are burning
And the sands of our time grow old
    No, no, no

    Spiritus Sanctus, Anno, Anno Mundi
    Spiritus Sanctus, Anno, Anno Mundi
Can you see me now? Oh, oh-oh-oh
Can you hear me now? Oh, no

Can you tell me where's the glory?
Ride the days and sail the nights
When it's over, you'll find the answer
    Running in the rain
Truth of thunder, life or blame

    There's a hope that's growing, and a vision too
All those angry hearts now reach out for you
Do you look to the dawn? See a new day begun?
No longer the fool, the vision is done

As the winds of the night blow cold
    Your eyes are burning
And the sands of our time grow old
    Your eyes are burning

And the winds of the night blow cold
    Your eyes are burning
And the sands of our time grow old
    Your eyes are burning

  2. My Favourite Album From The Tony Martin Sabbath Great Era !!! Amazing From The First Listening and Stills Today !!! Horns Up,Ton !!! Salud y Vida Pa'lante !!! Cheers and Life On !!!

  3. There are people laughin, they are laughin at you, if only they could see what your sayin is true – go Youtube a video called – are you a good person by Living Waters

  4. Tony was denied a solo career. If he wanted to have his band release albums, they would be under the Black Sabbath name. Just the nature of the business of show; it's a fucking ravenous beast.

  5. People who say Tony Martin was the best have no idea what they're talking about. Tony Martin was a good studio singer, but he was bland in concert. The best was Dio for sure, followed by Osbourne although I like Martin's voice more than Ozzy's.

  6. Thankyou, Mr Iommi! thankyou for helping me get through both the darkest and brightest times of my life. You've caused more serotonin to flow over the years that it must far outweigh all the synthetic drugs and psych pharmaceuticals, and it's all 100% natural….so many people have gotten the best high imaginable off your music, and for years and years on end as well! That's an amazing achievement and worthy of the endless gratitude of the millions and millions of people that got goosebumps from listening to your amazing creative music!

I was 13 when I bought this on tape in 1990 when it came out. I was banished to a boarding school with very stuffy traditions and a very Christian filter/attitudes, so I was openly loathed by the faculty, partially thanks to my choice of music (this was 'satanic panic' times, and it even reached me at a boarding school in a tiny, dead mining town on the edge of the desert in Queensland, Australia). I think I must have played that tape, and the few other metal tapes I had hoarded, to the point where it was probably see-through. Metal absolutely kept me sane through my adolescence and it kept this only-child loner company while in exile. At one point all I had was a Walkman, and batteries were expensive and hard to come by, so I had dismantled it and soldered a couple of wires to the battery terminals that hung out the battery slot, so I could wire it to a 3volt power pack that I had acquired from somewhere. Brilliant….endless music! (the young generation have no idea how lucky they have it now, having every song, ever, literally in their pocket. Back then you had to hunt for an album or song, and if you couldn't afford the album, you'd tape it off someone who did, lol). So many nights I lay in my bunk with my headphones pressed tightly to my head, listening to this incredible piece of metal mastery (and Headless Cross) in the dark and letting it immerse me completely. 3½ decades later and I still get goosebumps from hearing the Battle of Tyr, Odin's Court and THAT change into Valhalla (and the guitar solos…wow! They're just on a different level). possibly the best B-side of any metal album. (It's funny how the whole concept of B-side songs just faded away.. firstly with CDs and now totally thanks to streaming. Albums in general are the next to go, again thanks to streaming. I'm glad I got to enjoy this era of Metal….1985ish to 2000ish still the best era imho. And I got to enjoy these 1 hour packages of audio artwork and graphic design brilliance all wrapped up and plopped into a thing called an Album).

  7. Em relação aos fãs do Black esse trabalho é pouco valorizado, mas pra mim é um dos melhores disco do Black Sabbath e arrisco dizer que não ficaria tão bom com o Ozzi.
    Créditos do Tony.
