  1. Billy is still bitter, what an absolute clown. Makes it harder to listen to SP these days because hes still whining about how Nirvana and Cobain reached heights he couldn’t. Just wish he would go away so we don’t have to hear his excuses and rants any longer

  2. Oh man, I never noticed they’re exactly the same. Just different chords and a different chord progression. One’s major, one’s minor, but besides that, exactly the same. Crazy.

  3. I thought Billy was supposed to be some musical savant perfect pitch genius. Can he not hear that they are completely distant chords and rhythms. 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼 I get it’s in a way similar but it’s way different. Even the high chords and low chords are totally inverted. Backwards. And not the same chords.

  4. Never got to see Nirvana, but I saw Smashing Pumpkins, when they were touring the Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Green Day for the Insomniac album, and saw Foo Fighters twice about about 30 yrs ago.

Rip Kurt Cobain & Drummer for Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins. Miss both of their smiles 😊

  5. Weird cause a different interview he said when they first let him listen to teen spirit he’s told them he stole his sound or something along those lines and now it’s also more than a feeling. Odd, well I’d say it’s most likely that second one there Billy Buttercups

  6. But it's not more than a feeling. Not the same progression, not even if you change the key. Totally different. Although I can understand the impression of a similarity, Corgan as a self professed music expert should understand the difference and would be insulted if someone tried to say the same about one of his songs.

  7. I feel like this sums up BC and KC. BC being a smug jackass and Kurt being a slacker, but the twist is that Kurt was actually superhumanly humble and Billy really appreciated Kurt and so he's actually a nice guy.

  8. I think Billy corgan is getting the dates mixed up, The pumpkins played at the reading festival in 1992 which is what this footage is from and also they did the “More than a feeling” intro into teen spirit. When they played in Tokyo in 1992, they did a silly we will rock you intro into teen spirit. Billy corgan was at both shows at probably got the two mixed up

  9. I like how he assumes he’s the only one who understood Kurt’s reference. And I doubt he ever had that thought before Kurt did that, and I doubt he was even there, he just wants to remain relevant, the smashing pumpkins music always kinda sucked and his voice is whiney and annoying

  10. 😂😂😂 i pointed rhat out the first time I ever heard nirvana in the early 90's at a lil grunge bar called Frankie's Inner-City, before I d ever seen the video on Mtv!(Back when Mtv played music videos!
