  1. Thank you for a great Video, very informative Doctor. My optometrist suggested I take a supplement called Vision Essence with Lutein, zeaxanthin, and has an extra ingredient Meso – zeaxanthin. I have AMD and hoping to slow down the progression. I was taking AREDs 2 previously

  2. Personally I think Omega 3’s are good but I agree you need to take them for a while. I think extra virgin olive oil is actually better in my own experimentation. You still need to give up the quantities of sugar, carbs & refined carbs. So for me it’s a combination. Lutein and Zeaxanthin should be taken by everyone! I have noticed a huge difference in my night driving and eye strain after only taking it for a few weeks!

  3. 👉 First time finding your channel (subscribed). Thank you!
    Watching from Ontario, Canada.
I’m 77, diagnosed with Wet AMD in my R eye 2 yrs ago. Received injections monthly for 1-1/2 years, but a few months ago “graduated” to every 6 weeks. At my last assessment, my R eye was “dry” or stable, however it has now affected my L eye too. So, a shot in the L eye every month, and the R eye every 6 weeks. (I’m there so often, they’ll be asking me for rent soon! 😂)
At this stage, I have to use audiobooks as reading strains too much. Up close, I have difficulties, yet with distance, my vision doesn’t seem to be obstructed. Finger’s crossed.
I have been taking Areds 2 twice daily plus Omega 3 only once daily (it upsets my stomach ). I’m trying to learn everything I can to stop/slow the progress. Since I already have Wet AMD, will higher dose of Zeaxanthin make a difference?
Is Vitalux AREDS2 as good as PreserVision AREDS2?
Because I’m so worried about losing my sight and independence, the stress is causing excessive hair shedding too. More supplements! 🥴
I have to admit I’m terrified!

  4. Great information, thanks. Definitely feel I had a reduction in my annoying eye floaters with the Macu Health formula. I also take their Omega 3s which I think are quality ingredients. Taking most of the supplements you have covered to help with my AMD and dry eyes. Going to check out the Astaxanthin.

  7. My ophthalmologist recommended a Lutein/Zeaxanthin plus supplement when I was first diagnosed with Macular Degeneration 4 years ago. I am happy to report following my last examination that it appears to have stabilised.
