So the Indiana state police have a policy that all “patrons” ride in the front with the officer. They do not have cages in their car. I believe this is based on a study that shows officers are safer this way. They also I believe feel that this helps their rider feel calmer but I don’t know this for fact. Each trooper is trained in hand to hand combat and go through simulations of fighting a suspect in the car. All weapons are also locked in the vehicle.
Also a HUGE misconception about the Indiana state police is that they are a highway patrol agency only. This is untrue. Ohio highway patrol is exactly that. A highway patrol. CHP (highway patrol) a state trooper has jurisdiction in multiple counties. The state police is an assisting agency who fill in where there are cracks. They are not bound to the highway although you may see them there more than a rural or city office/ department.
So love the videos. But this is Indiana. And some of the words are off. Like “ woh hoo” was him actually saying “ move” because of slow driving
Chicago isn't Indiana
I’m in the wrong state 😭😭
This is wild to see this in my area but it doesn't surprise me with how many people live it this part of indiana
Do not mess with the police
"You flicked me off, remember?"
"NoOoOoO"
They must not teach Geography in school anymore. They definitely don't teach it in Chicago, Indiana.
So he risked everybody's life, was driving while being THAT drunk… and ONLY had to pay $775 bucks?! No jail time? Just pay a week worth of work?! Thats BS….. He could have killed people.
Weaving through I-80 traffic between Gary & Chicago is horrible
How do you endanger that many lives and only get a standard OWI?
damn NPC is broken. just staring on road….
They are transporting the guy in the front seat??? That is wild, I didn't think any departments did that anymore!
ACAB!!!
7:00 bro thought the cop was trying to do small talk 💀 then asks the cop if he has anything to drink 😂
Not only is this not Chicago, it's not even East Chicago (a separate, much smaller city in Indiana). 80/94 in this area runs through Merrilville, Hammond, Gary, etc…but not East Chicago.
I've never seen a police car where they let the criminal sit up front next to the officer. Seems dangerous…
6:42 This is the first time I see a suspect being placed in the front seat of a police car. Isn't this incredibly dangerous? Although the suspect is handcuffed, he's intoxicated and could put them both in danger. All he has to do is to headbutt the officer, and he would lose control of the car. Is this standard practice for this area or was it a bad judgment call on the part of the officer? Just curious.
This wasn’t in Chicago though
Brodie high high
seems unconstitutional to be punished for not taking a test.
