Dude… jumping into 4 directly is…. suicide. You'll have zero idea at what the fuck is going on. Even playing everything there's still a chance you won't have any clue.

The Disney aspect was fun as a kid but I found in kingdom hearts 3 it was actually horrible playing through as an adult. Mostly because I did not watch frozen/roponzolle etc also there are way too many options for attacks that make it easier to play. The monster Inc world was dreadful too and long. The Toy Story world was not much of a world either. Once you get through the boring Disney stuff and focus on the main characters it gets fun. They need to add more Final Fantasy characters instead.
You should react to the Kingdom Hearts 2 Secret Ending that came out almost 20 years ago. That will give you goosebumps even not knowing what is it about. It is one of the most iconic scenes of the whole series.

About the whole scripting thing:
It's scripted because it's a trailer I would say, but if it is anywhere near KH 3 in terms of controls (and the abilitys look kinda familiar), than we already know that in gameplay: None of this will be scripted except a few Triangle presses which are mostly optional to do some small cool shit.
I hope it's more similar to KH 2's triangle events than KH 3.
