It sounds like you're doing the right thing with tapering off and then stopping the colloidal silver. I think it works best for more acute health issues because the body will respond to it more if it's not used to having it every single day non-stop, and you can always start it up again.
I just use colloidal silver for coughs for myself and I feel like it helps.

Eyes: for me 1 part DMSO, 1 part Magnesium oil (which I make: 1 cup magnesium chloride flakes to 1 cup distilled boiled water) and 2 parts distilled water. So, I fill a 2 ounce glass bottle (with dropper) bottom half of bottle with the magnesium oil and dmso and then fill the rest with distilled water (which I also make using a distiller) I put a drop in each of my eyes several times a day. Pretty much overnight I resolved issues I was having with what I understood to be glaucoma symptoms. Pain in eyes, a feeling that there is something in the eye, tiredness….
I keep the drops around and try to remember to use occasionally.
Which I don't remember since I don't have the symptoms anymore. ❤
