  1. Time isn't equal to my enjoyment of a game, but as a broke college student, it's hard to justify paying full price for a game I'll beat within a week. Love playing shorter games whenever they go on sale though.

  2. The drift on the switch wasn't the potentiometer wearing out, it was the bottom of the stick assembly buckling from lack of support and cause the reading to go wrong.

  3. i've been stuck between the 3g35xx h or the retroid pocket 2s. I like the power of the 2s but I want the pocketability of the xx h. if this ayaneo micro comes out and its around 100 bucks then it's most likely going to the top of the list. i hope it comes out soon

  4. I would love to get a PS5, but they're still super expensive even though they've been out for almost 4 years and FF7 Rebirth is really the only game I want to play besides having the ability to play upgraded PS4 games. Once the PS5 and Series X are $250 or cheaper, then I'll go "Next Gen".

  5. Stick drift is real, especially on the early switch and switch lite models. Stick drift on 2 different sets of switches and 2 switch lites. Nintendo’s policy on helping with switch drift didn’t transfer to the lite, and both of those lites developed it.

  6. On stick drift topic, I encountered drift for the first time like 6 years in and I had a launch Switch.
I get the feeling some folks like play a little rougher than others. Sort of like writing and drawing. I tend to press down really hard when using pencils, pens, and stuff when. In art projects it tends to be a problem for me especially for micron pens. I've ruin a lot of pen tips absent mindedly cause I naturally press down too hard. I theorize its a similar issue for folks who get stick drift easily, maybe they unknowingly press down harder or naturally are a little rough? I have zero evidence for this. It's all vibes, man.

  7. I own 3 DualSense controllers, 1 of them has drift in the left stick and the right trigger has gone flacid, another which also has a flacid right trigger and the last one, the original controller I got with my ps5 when I bauhht it a year and a half ago is the only one that still works perfectly today…

  8. Time=Value is a hole that many people and the industry have fallen into. That's why we have companies like Ubisoft having 30hrs of fetch quests and collec-a-thons and wondering why it's not working. Probably why every company went the F2P way because it has to be one extreme or the other. Rarely a middle ground

  9. Bomberman 64 was my favorite game growing up! Would try and draw all the awesome villain designs in the instruction manual and spent hours in the solo campaign and even more with friends and my brothers in the multiplayer !

  10. I have 2 sets of joycon and 3/4 of the sticks have noticeable drift. Friends and even younger family members notice it pretty quick. Neither the pro nor 8bitdo controller I use more often have drift.

I also have several ps5 and ps4 controllers that get used far more than any of my switch controllers, and they do not have any drift either.

As Will was saying, I also have N64, GameCube, ps1, 2, and 3 controllers that don't drift that DEFINITELY have thousands of hours more playtime on them.
