On Sam's "Millionaires on Medicare" argument, all taxpayers pay for Medicare on an income percentage basis meaning the high income earners pay significantly more than the middle- and low-income earners. Of course they're entitled to it.

Cut the skilled rate. Nothing depresses wages like having thousands of overseas qualified engineers working to stack shelves or drive uber. "Skills shortage " is a scam. The companies should put up a bond and public job listing if they're serious about "filling an expected vacancy " or whatever they say to come up with the 'demand' figures.

Common sense is lacking these days. Keeping things simple is always helpful. Before the opening of our borders to huge number of migrants, there already was housing problem. You have to be am unmitigated idiot not to know that bringing in more people would excacerbate the housing problem. The $300.00 handout is an insult to all Australians who are paying twice for their food and groceries every week. Albo and his ministers gave themselve $450 million for LUXURY, not just any plane. This action is definitely without common sense and irresponsible at best.

If the majority of the immigration intake is students then those are obviously not "Highly Skilled" migrants. They are people with rich parents from 3rd world countries coming here to drive Ubers whilst their parents pay the University fees and then once they have been here for a few years they claim citizenship. The "Highly Skilled Workers" tag line is a complete lie. If we need workers why can't we do what Singapore does and bring people in on a visa to work for a set period of time like 2 or 3 years and then at the end of that time they go home and we adjust the number of visas we give based on the unemployment rate? Why are we presented with the false choice of either zero foreign workers or letting everybody in, letting them stay forever and giving them citizenship?
And guess what we are getting a $300 cash back on power bill but but but it's my tax money it's not a gift fk a.s hole . Down with Labor and LNP. Imigration conserns are not racist at all , it is just common sense approach to accommodate proper ammaunt of imigrants and not to hurt , economically, and in all regards, especially housing, rest of Australians at the same time ,definitely.
