I personally don't want games to be a never ending infinite experience. I'm simply not going to dedicate years of my life to just play a handful of games. I want to complete a game and move along to the next one.

You dont have to appeal to the stupid masses, you are a very smart man, and know that Terminator-Matrix-AI-Killer-Robots are a weak strawman and scapegoat. Even regular 2024 AI's are a strawman to the human-driven, human-caused practices of hateful speech, poor security, low standards in quality, corporate greed, and so much more.
Also, if ANY technology, such as AI, can effectively replace ANY job, such as an artist, (without the risk of physical damage and disaster) then you don't have to pander to the people that might get automated. These are the same kinds of people who have ingested years of The Jetsons and Star Trek, growing up to believe that AI should "only be used for chores and hard manual labor", while humans can all cozy up and make art instead. And these are the same kinds of people who would want to dismantle and destroy the ugly icky "tech jobs" because…. humanity can supposedly live without them.

It also depends what laws governments brings to regulate AI.
For instance, I believe if a company is using data like video or voice or some actor to create content using AI. That conpany need to pay those people. Also I think there will be more jobs related providing the training data and more importantly ensuring that those data doesn't have any violent or racist content.
With AI, I feel we are experiencing the migration from Horse transportation into auto-vehicles. We feel this innovation is taking jobs away but who knows in future we might have more jobs than today.
