Surely an amplitude greater than the thickness of the torso will produce drag? Additionally, kicking only produce about 2% propulsion …. would it ot be more efficient to use kicking just to keep you horizontal?

Those are Very Good for us to know how to make our kicking The Right Way while swimming since it's better for us to do that to allow us swim much faster than we ever did before
Pretty sure this guy floats naturally. Those of us who sink as soon as we hit the water would struggle greatly trying to do this.

The vertical drill is a good one. I'm up to five minutes with my arms up and out of the water past my elbows. 👍

В России в принципе не считают почему-то объяснять или учить держаться вертикально, кроме "один из способов, как держаться на воде". Впрочем, здесь я тоже ожидал, что узнаю больше, но спасибо хоть за голени.)
