  1. I'm Argentinean and I will recommend some movies not so well known outside our country
    1) MAN LOOKING SOUTHEAST (SCIENCE FICTION FILM)
    2)El ángel
    3)Diablo 2011
    4) terrified
    5)Criptonyta (superhero movie)
    6)sweet silver
    7) prisoners of oblivion

  2. Take into account that apart from drama, crime or suspense, in Argentina there is a lovely selection of funny/humorous movies with our particular sense of humour haha

  3. Some series are also recommendable i.e. el marginal, which is a fiction about how the prisons work in Argentina, and of course los simuladores, the best series in Argentina's history, made in 2001, year of our economical crisis. Others recommend Okupas a harsh and dark series about a group of guys who are homeless and settle in an abandoned house.

  4. El Clan has the #1 most mind blowing ending of any movie I've ever seen. Even if it were fiction it would be a good movie. But it's a true story, and that even multiples the shock(s) at the end. 10/10

  5. I love Ricardo Darin. He is absolutely superb as an actor. The movie that I really discovered him was El Hijo De La Novia–The Son Of The Bride. This is a poignant, inspiring film where Darin evolves as a person. Incredible! A must watch!

  6. I've been looking for an Argentinan film I saw a few years back on Netflix. It was about a guy investigating a cold case if I recall. He wasn't a cop, he worked within the municipality in an office . Really good movie. Could it have been the first one on here? I think the guy was retiring and he wanted to solve this one last case.

  7. I consider Nine Queens to be the best Con Movie ever. And Wild Tales is among one of the best I have ever seen. Argentineans should be proud of their films and their makers. And Ricardo Darin is a Legend.

  8. All these films are very good comercial movies. Another cases: Ciudadano Ilustre, Kóblic, Wakolda, La Ciénaga, Un Oso Rojo, Crónica de una Fuga, Luna de Avellaneda, El Abrazo Partido… But I recomend you 2 unknown directors outside Argentina: Adolfo Aristarain (late 70-early 80): Tiempo de Revancha, La Parte del León and Leonardo Favio: Crónica de un niño solo (the all time best argentine movie in my consideration), Juan Moreira, Fin de Fiesta, El Romance del Aniceto y la Francisca (It´s the argentinian Nouvelle Vague experience)

  9. You should give these ones a try:
The die is cast / La suerte está echada
On probation / Tiempo de valientes
Same love, same rain / El mismo amor, la misma lluvia (starring you guessed it, R. Darín and S. Villamil, also Palermo from Money heist – La casa de papel)
God bless you / Dios se lo pague
