People always think that the military is so good at hand to hand but they really aren’t like put Francis ngannou against a higher ranking soldier and see what happens there techniques are meant to be an absolute last resort on a weakened opponent they didn’t make it so some random dude could run into a battle field empty handed and win against people with guns they made is so if you were both injured or just you or just him you courk have the upper hand while martial arts were made to be used as a stand-alone weapon especially martial arts like: Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, bjj, lethwei, judo, etc. We’re made to be used in the ring and on the mat while martial arts like: taekwando, karate, aikido, Japanese jj, etc. Are made to look pretty yeah sure the average soldait copies probably beat a dude who does taekwando but put someone who’s done Muay Thai and bjj or judo against a soldier who’s been in the military no weapons and no environmental use (ma would probably still win) against each other and see who comes out on top

I have a black belt in Krav Maga and let me tell u that it is actually the real deal and the most effective. If you’re thinking about doing martial arts I think Krav Maga is the way to go. Just make sure you find a real place that teaches genuine Krav Maga.
