This isn't really a story, more like something I saw once. Like an encounter
I remember I was home alone once as a kid (I think 5-8), my mom was either in cuba and my dad went out for something (I cannot remember). I was a good kid while home alone, so I handled myself. I was just watching TV on the couch, until right at the end of the hallway to the living room, I saw a shadow figure of someone that wasn't there. I got a bit startled by the sight as it just stood there, watching. I stood up from the couch, but when I did. It was gone. I told my mom and she said that the black figure was just checking up on me, it was said that when kids are home alone. Some times shadow figures come up to check on them, but at the same time. I did get a bit scared by it
I was a kid, so even if I knew it was good, I would still get scared by the sight because I was a drama queen and I was very afraid of the dark

I use to rent rooms out and my renters all saw this 1 girl my friends who came over saw her also my one renter screamed one night he moved so life went on then i moved into that room when my nephew & his girlfriend moved into my big room one night in that room I woke up and a girl was on my bed looking at me I did a snap kick or more like a stomp move laying on my back and it just disappeared I told my old renter about it he said that's what I saw but I saw a red head woman who followed me from a old farm house where the old tale was a red head woman was murdered and buried by her husband who committed suicide and I got told by old neighbors that I look like her husband so I was like great but she doesn't try to scare me calls me husband and 99% she hides her face but one night I woke standing at the end of my bed was a red head she smiled at me moved her hair and I swear I knew her and she was beautiful and I had dreams where I saw what happen and she was murdered by the owner of the farm who was said to be a evil man and he killed her husband also , so was she showing me what really happen I think the big shadow man was the owner and she was trapped her husband is trapped in a room but that house is bad but she followed when we left but only her that house is still haunted bad to this day and other houses near it and the owners say that only parts of their houses are haunted and the spirits walk right up to the point stand there and watch them it's creepy as hell
When I was young maybe 14 , my friends and I were hanging out and we had a very old board ( OUIJA) so we used it in a place we should not have out of respect , and the doors we could be opening but we were young & dumb so we did and we kept getting one word over & over so it was getting boring so, we go let's leave and we did and it was in a old place out in the middle of nowhere and we were walking so we started getting some distance from where we were as we looked back we saw a black shadow human shape adult walk out onto the road , we shouted hello waved but it just walked out onto the road turned and started coming towards us but all we saw was a black shadow if it was a person we could have seen facial figures hair clothing but no it was a shadow , we walked fast , got to the local church and said we will be ok right then the bell rang but it was locked up and nobody was there , so we walked out female friends home and stayed out in my parents camper for the night that night the camper rocked and the board we found it the next morning it was destroyed all the way ripped off except the one word we kept getting and we later found the word meant something sense then I have had hauntings where every I live , the case of humming with a female voice I had that but she would sing my 2 cousin and I heard it and we looked at each other looked outside there couldn't be anyone all country open land you would see them but so far no way is she leaving.

I'm an avid listener,but the man in the top hat story had the goosebumps going. Doesn't happen often, but this story sure did it for some reason.
