  1. You make a mistake, as all teans do, and you need to spend the rest of your life in prison. No wonder they have the highest prison numbers in the world, and by a large factor. And they've got some of the highest crime rates too. What a horrible country.

  2. Sen. Kennedy grew up in a mansion in a safe neighborhood, with a trust fund, a home chef fixing him meals, etc… the killer (who by the way deserves what he got) grew up a black kid surrounded by other killers.

  3. Sen. Kennedy fails to mention one critical fact: left-wingers will always empathize and side with non-white criminals. They believe their own lies that somehow that this type of perpetrator is somehow the real victim. Watching them spew their twisted logic is a sight to behold.

  4. Kinda scummy to blame the dude for not reaching out or looking into the family when he had no ability to do so due to his incarceration.

  5. OK. Here's a "Yeah, but," and it won't be a popular thing to say. Teens who are 16 are not adults. They do not think like adults. They are emotionally not like adults. They are physically not like adults. My humble opinion is they should not be "Tried as Adults" because they are NOT. This man looks like he's in his 40s. His story may be true. We didn't hear whether he had adequate representation. In any case, folks now don't even have to post bail for murder, and many "walk" due to the present political climate.

I'm not saying this man should be released because neither I nor Sen. Kennedy have enough information for that. I'm saying it's wrong to try children as adults and the only justification for it appears to be revenge. A child has not shaped his life yet. Of course, there should have been a penalty. But if this man is 40, he has spent 24 years behind bars for a crime he committed while a CHILD. This is what's wrong. It isn't civilized.

  6. I would venture to guess that more than 50% of the people in prison are there because of emotional arguments to begin with bringing emotional arguments to this hearing is just ridiculous

  7. What law states an incarcerated felon cannot contact a victims family and express remorse for their crime?
This murderer has no remorse and is trying to play that he's a victim. He should still be in prison.

  8. Remove all cameras in jail and prison, remove all television, double the corrections officers and bring back HARD time. Let prisoners learn to fear the “justice” system.
